Negative, Negative, Fucking Negative Arsenal Fans!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I altered that part of piresistible's post and I'll tell you why. The reason being I thought it was a bloody cheek for someone to come on here, slag off the forum and it's users and then at the same time blazenly advertise his own website, which - unlike this one apparently - is full of TRUE Arsenal fans!! :awnker:

There are a lot of spoilt babies around.........

Arsene has failed to rebuild the 2005 team, failed to replace Graham's legendary back 5 and has failed to deliver a European trophy of ANY kind to N5/N6.

Would Arsene have signed Seaman, Dixon, Bould, Keown, Winterburn? No, he'd never have signed them and probably would have sold Adams to Gillingham!

These are the facts

Graham Arsene

1 FA Cup 4 FA Cups
2 League Cups 0 League Cups
2 Championships 3 Championships
1 European Trophy 0 European Trophies

This goes to show that Arsenal will evolve as a club again. There was life after George.......and there'll be life after Wenger.

I follow The Arsenal..........Not Wenger, not the players.

AKB's the club will not self destruct if Wenger buggers off to Real!!

You can still support Arsenal and be critical of Wenger for team selection and but not have your head so far up Wenger's back side. He is a great manager but they come and go. We have no right to win the league every year so take off those rose tinted glasses, stay till the end, drink ten cans of stella and sing up for The Arsenal!

Its alright being negative but there are some people who go to the extremes.
Donaldos protest thread was extreme and frankly embarrassing.

I'm getting bored of all the negative publicity around the arsenal on the t.v., and in the papers - it doesn't look good on us as supporters (even tho Adebayor may deserve to be slagged off)
We all know how much we hate adebayor and i'm sure he realises this now too so lets forget about him for the stoke game and instead of wasting our voice on that lazy good for nothing *word censored* lets put our voices behind the team.
I've read lots of posts regarding anti adebayor songs on here lately BUT still we have yet to come up with good songs for our better players such as AA and Nasri.
Why don't we spend less time slagging off Ade and more time letting players like AA know how much we love them.

Sing up sunday!!!!! :barscarf:

whatever your views - my plea is support your club through the good and bad times...
Most of us have been/are doing that!!!

It's just this crazy notion from the AKB's, that because Wenger was amazing in the first half of his tenure at the club, we should forgive everything from the point that it all started going wrong to the present day and even in the future!
What I also find strange is that Wenger always appears to be very honest with the media - something they often comment on themselves yet he cannot be honest with his own fans? I wonder if he actually understands what the issues are that the fans have? He has failed to even address things like MAKING the players show appreciation to our fans away from home, win or lose, they just don't do it and it's such a simple thing to put right.
Wenger and the club take the fans for granted because there's a big 'waiting list'.

Now everything I wanted to say has already been written by others like Ram, IU4GN, Number 5 etc. so I'll just leave it at this:

Matt, piresistible, ramon and anyone else that is not happy with the content of this forum have the right and freedom to go elsewhere. What they don't have the right to do is come on here questioning the loyalty of the regulars that frequent this forum. As I've warned before, I will now start deleting posts that tell or imply that other gooners should 'feck off and support someone else' because they dare to have different opinions!!

So, if you really can't stand the nature of debate on here, please do yourselves - and more importantly, the rest of us - a favour and don't come back on here. I'm sure you won't be missed that much.
I don't think anybody questions the right of other people to have an opinion but I do think that many will read The Gooner or visit this forum and consider that there are a lot of negative, destructive and downright abusive elements. If I want to hold an opinion that such behaviour has nothing to do with supporting a club in the usual sense of the word and, indeed, suggests that the poster's loyalties lie elsewhere, aren't I entitled to express that opinion ?

No, you're wrong shellshock. By telling people to go and support someone else, what effectively those people are questioning is the right of others to have a different opinion from theirs.

It betrays a lack of knowledge, not only of the users of this particular forum, but also of football fans and the game in general. Regardless of how discontent people are with the criticism of the club by others, everyone knows that supporters don't change their club allegencies - at least not once they reach puberty (there's still time Mrgnu!! ).

What you are entitled to do is not buy the mag (sorry Kev ), or visit another website more in keeping with your mindset if you are unhappy with what this platform for all types of Arsenal fans is providing.

Anyone paying attention would have noticed that on this particular forum there is a mix of optimists, pessimists and not sures (otherwise known as the Lib Dems  ). For every Augie, Donaldo or Goonersid there is a tinpot lane, Cesc is God or Belfast Boy. There are even some sensible posters  - like IU4GN, g88ner, Number 5 and others - who are somewhere inbetween the two 'extremes'. :?

Anyway, I have decreeded that those are the new rules so anyone not happy with them can 'go f...................'!!

I know it's been a while since I've had one of my drunken nights, so I guess it just goes to show what a sober mind can do.

I'll have to fix that though and hit the offie on my way home tonight. :db10_2:

Can't have people thinking I've gone all sensible.
