Proud to say that name

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Proud to say that name

Ok tha result didn't go our way and Drogba did it again but we have every reason to be very proud of those brave boys in the Red and White. Our kids ran the Premiership champions and supposadly 'big club' Chelski. We played great for the entire 90 minutes but got caught with a sucker punch yet again. The Arsenal section was absolutly jumping we were singing almost not stop and I can't remember the Russian rent boys mustering so much as a 'come on chelsea'. The only noise they made was when they scored. 'Worst support i've ever seen'
Graham Taylor on 5live can fuck off if he thinks any gooner is annoyed about not having the big guns play. We all know the score, Wenger plays the kids in the Carling Cup and when you beat the Liverpool Stealers in their own back yard and the spuds over 2 legs they deserved to play the Final. The standing ovation at Full-Time was great, a real hairs on the back of the neck moment i'm sure the players enjoyed that.
Well done boys great atmosphere and a good day despite the result. Keep the faith.

The Future's bright, the future's Arsenal

The M$ traffic jams were worth it just to be there to cheer the guys off. The better team lost.

The press are again quick to jump on our backs and comdemn everything Arsenal. Now people are saying that the team that played shouldn't be called 'The Kids' because they have International experience. Fuck off!
Theo - 17 Denillson - 19 Cesc - 19 Diaby - 20.
Theo has played a hanful of games for England, Denillson is U20's captain, Cesc has been at the club for 3 years and is still a teenager, and Diaby is still very young. Whenever Rooney or Ronaldo do anything stupid then it is down to the fact they are young and still learning. When it is The Arsenal they are professional's who should know better. More examples of Arsenal bashing.

The media are a fucking joke.

How can they say the ref was brilliant? When he sent off the wrong player!

They're all saying Adebayor reacted badly and he should be further punished, but how do you expect someone to react when they are sent off after being mistaken for someone else? If it was Lampard or Terry they would be more understanding i bet ya.

Plus did anyone listen to five live's 606 programme after the game? They had it on our coach, and i must say Alan Green is a fucking idiot. We were in fits when that Gooner rang up and had a go at him. Green praised the ref, had a dig at Wenger, even claimed there was no wrongdoing in the Chelsea chavs throwing celery at Cesc cos it's a 'tradition'. Fuck off Alan, so if I threw an onion at Drogba and claimed it to be a tradition would that be ok? What a pile of shit.

Thing is, they're not even subtle about it. Even when they're forced to admit that Arsenal have played well, it's always accompanied by a little sideswipe or put-down. If we try to play passing football, we're "not robust enough". If we standup for ourselves we're "undisciplined". It even extends to the fans. If that had been Gooners pelting Lampard yesterday, the media would be bleating about it, but cos it was Cesc it's all a bit of fun. Having said that, it'd be pointless throwing veg at Fat Frank anyway as he's clearly an experienced salad dodger.

Very proud of the lads...

The Cardiff Police are thick, and whoever was running the trains needs to be shot.

Good support by all though - well done people x
