As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I have to agree with Not 2 Smooth on this one Freddie is a legend in my eyes. He left because he wanted regular first team football, something that he wasn't guaranteed at Arsenal. We had the best years out of him and what great years they were. Okay he went to celebrate thinking he had scored a goal, thats the whole point of the game isn't it? Try for 90 minutes to put the ball in the back of the net. Had he been celebrating scoring a goal that relegated our club, then that would be an entirely different matter, but it wasn't.
Really good player for us, worked hard, scored goals and no problem with him leaving and while one might prefer him not celebrating, I can understand why he would want to. Just wish he had left with some dignity and without the parting shots
I agree with 2smooth and Wayno, can't see anything wrong with celebrating scoring against your old team. If Gallas ever gets one against Chavski, I hope he does three fucking laps of honour, and then kisses his Arsenal badge in front of the blue fans!
Be a real shame if we greet Freddie with boos in the return game, we're better than that. Boos should be reserved for the real shitheads, like Ashley "Who's laughing now" Cole.
totoally agree a legend for us scored in cup finals and a natural reaction when you score is to celebrate, and as 26may says if gallas scores v chavs i hope he gose mental, same as diarra and ne1 else for that matter.
I love the guy & he'd be in my XI & one of those i would like to meet but goalkeepers have shown more respect to the north bank clapping away to the fans before play has started for the 2nd half than he did on Saturday
Legend to me he is but a twat in east london is what he has turnt out to be now
He will never experience the lime light & the fan base he did at Arsenal
I was well annoyed that he didn't come over at full time to acknowledge the arsenal fans. West Ham got a corner early on in the game which Freddy took and as he came over every gooner clapped him, and loads were even singing for him. I thought it was lousy he wouldn't come and clap us at the end. We all appreciate his 9 years service, does he not aprreciate our 9 years of support? He was one of the most loved in that time. Shame
