THAT chant being sold online.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Oh what fun it will be going to football soon!

Strangely enough I've never needed to hear or sing anti-semitic or racist chants to enjoy myself.

Yes they are to some people!

So it is ok for you to chant what you like as long as the subject matter isn't personally offensive to you?

Let me put it this way - there's no need to qualify "*word censored*" with "gay", "yiddo", "black" etc.

I think we all agree that there are lines that should never be crossed and for me using sexual acts against children as a source of humour goes way over that line.

I won't have another debate on the unmentionable Y word as most know my view on it.

Oh how I love The Emirates Theatre and Opera House!

Does anyone else think that someone that feels the need to call themselves 'fat willy' is maybe over-compensating for some inadequacy?

no read the name properly. Perhaps I should have used caps in the right places

HarrietHarmMan not Harriet Harman

Why would that MP be doing anything to help anyone who's male? She's as sexist as you can get, I thought everyone knew that.

Well it took a week but the FA have replied..............

Dear Mr ...........,

Thank you for writing to The Football Association.

The FA is in full agreement with you; offensive chanting has no place in football. The FA’s policy is to encourage all clubs to work towards ridding the game of the small minority of supporters who try to ruin the experience of watching a game for the vast majority.

We strongly condemn any form of offensive chanting and works closely with the police, clubs and football partners such as Kick It Out in tackling this problem.

We remain committed to making the game family friendly and call upon clubs and match day police to monitor and deal with these incidents accordingly.

The FA are also aware that Manchester United released their own statement on Friday 4th September, while Sir Alex Ferguson has gone on record in the past to condemn offensive chanting across the game.

We do appreciate all of the feedback we receive from supporters. This feedback is collated and used to build a picture of public opinion and is subsequently fed back internally within the organisation. Please rest assured your comments will form part of this feedback process.

I would like to thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us.

Kind regards,

Jenny Dainton
