Lets see what we have now - a series of major shareholders in a lockdown agreement, sitting on their investments and dragging the club into the mire, a manager who has built a squad with a title winning wage bill attached (sadly without the title), and a new commercial team whose knowledge of football is about as extensive as my knowledge of flower arranging.
Or an owner who knows it is imperative to invest large sums of money in the squad and has enough personal wealth to do this during a recession and property slump, who would in turn appoint David Dein as MD/CEO, and a manager who has won trophy after trophy in the past 10 years in 3 different countries. Hmmmmmm........
Because he is an honourable guy, one of the old school, wanted to keep his commitment to Russia and go on to extend a fantastic World Cup career. However, the Germans and a 2-legged play off could put an end to that dream within a month or sohanny73 wrote:O'Neill? Really? Bilic no club managers experience.
Hiddink didn't leave the Russia post to become Chelsea manager so why would he do so to become Arsenal manager.
Why would Mourinho leave his job as one of the, if not the highest paid club manager in the world?! Never going to happen.
Let's have some realistic suggestions, my bet is that there aren't going to be that many.
No I don't believe Ade as a rule, but we didn't spend much money this summer despite selling Ade and Toure... so perhaps there is truth in it, after all?hanny73 wrote:Do you really believe Wenger said this!? Adebayor has been proved time after time to be a bull shitter, I think this falls into this category.
I do agree with the fact that Wenger has the habit of lying and spin, some of which is done to protect his players other times it's just blatent.g88ner wrote:No I don't believe Ade as a rule, but we didn't spend much money this summer despite selling Ade and Toure... so perhaps there is truth in it, after all?hanny73 wrote:Do you really believe Wenger said this!? And, with respect, I'm equally suspicious of anything Wenger has to say, too! afterall, do you honestly believe Wenger when he says this...
Wenger - There's 10 players we can't afford![]()

My point is, both have a history of lying and spin... so who do you believe, as both comments would seem to counter the other! - and based on the lack of money spent, I have to confess I'm more inclined to believe Ade in this case!
How about you, Hanny?
I actually agree (as would most fans, I would imagine) but Wenger said this (on Arsenal.com) only a few weeks ago...Percy Dalton wrote:I would say the fact that the transfer fee wasn't reinvested into the squad suggests that he was flogged at least partly for financial reasons.
