CARLING CUP THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

you are having a laugh.

He was almost on his line, that was impossible to save.

Ridiculous to complain about that, but I expected no less.

OPEN YOUR EYES, flappy's back was arced which would only happen if he is yards off his line and trying to reach for a looping ball.

If flappy stands on his line and jumps will he not touch the cross bar?

I suggest you open yours.

There was a replay just now where you saw exactly when he was standing at the moment of the shot. He was about 2 yards of his line, the positioning was absolutely fine.

Absolutely bloody fine.

This shot was impossible to save, that's all there is to it.

dont know what you saw but he was 4yards off his line and you still dint answer my question, if flappy was closer to his line would he not be able to touch the cross-bar if he jumped?

and if he was 10 foot 5 he could have chested it down.

His positioning was absolutely fine, as I said. He was where he is supposed to be. The ball dipped, he couldn't have saved it.

Cech wouldn't have saved it, Van der Sar wouldn't have saved it, Buffon wouldn't have saved it.

I might have.

I'm not too sure myself, but the Polish commentators are saying it's a goalkeeping error, and they are usually biased in favour of the Polish players.

Apart from that it's a cracking game.

Great goal from Merida. :barscarf: :barscarf:

3-1 :barscarf: :barscarf:
