Just heard Roy Keane on SSN and he's defended TH but laid into the Irish defence and the President of FAI. Got to say that although he played for Man U, he's always been one of my favourite people - not only because he was a great player, but also because of his straight-forwardness and lack of fear about upsetting people if he felt what they were saying was bollocks.

Roy Keane and Stephen Ireland are probably wearing their "I Love Henry" shirts right now.augie wrote:I Hate Hleb wrote:Just heard Roy Keane on SSN and he's defended TH but laid into the Irish defence and the President of FAI. Although Keane obviously has a beef with FAI, and a lot of Irish fans understandably can't forgiven him for his walk-out in 2002, that shouldn't take away from the fact that what he's saying about the Henry incident is essentially right. There has been an over-reaction, especially in the media; Henry only did what 99.9% of players would have done; Ireland had it within their own power to affect the result but missed chances, and that you have to accept mistakes happen all the time; sometimes you benefit form them and sometimes you suffer from them. It's not always fair, but then nor is life in general.

Keane might have a point with this penalty....
Where is the penalty offence? Why didn't Ireland refuse the award of a penalty Replay for Gerogia!
