Would be nice but don't think many of us will call it progress if we do win it ... As long as we beat city.

City will win this game, the rest is purely a formality.

So that's the Premiership and the League Cup gone in four days... a familiar tale (just shuffle the trophies around as the situation merits).

By the time we've lost at Upton Park and drawn Barcelona in the CL, we can pretty much write-off yet another season.

Maybe next year the kids will come of age!

Finding it hard to get excited about this one. Man City will play a full team, we won't.... if we win it'll be incredibly lucky.

losin to Chelsea hasn't ended our season, 2 years ago when we threw it away we was in Chavskis position - i'm sure we can do the opposite to that, the league is about beating all the lesser teams, not losing to top 4
games we have dropped points to is

City - Away (Chelsea can have fun doing that next week)
Utd - Away (unlucky but expected and we'll return the favour at home
WHU - Away (tricky London away day where we were unlucky)
Sunderland - Away (int. Break + Up north... Utd + Pool dropped points at them.. dare i say more?)
and
Chavs - Home (again we will return that favour away...)
we just need to beat most other teams and we'll win it

League Cup we can discuss on Wednesday night when we are in the Semis!!!

If the Premier League season started from scratch right now, and was 24 games long, you might think that any of the big four could win. However, if you take the same circumstance, and say that we start with an eight point defecit, you would think that it would heavily favour Chelsea and Man Utd; especially when they're clearly better and have both beaten us already this season.

Yes, you may dissect the losses one-by-one, but at the end of the day, the table doesn't reveal the reasons/excuses for our losses, it only indicates our losses. We could lose all 38, and you could have a reason for each of those, but it still wouldn't mean that we're not relegated.

As for the 'kids' comment, notice the eyerolls...

FFS Compare Chelsea's squad today with Arsenals 2 years ago. They dont have a crunt like Eboue on the bench do they? Chelsea wont throw the league away like we did.Dream on.Our aim is still to finish 4th.

Chelsea are a bunch of old *word censored*, they are beatable. It's not like they are invincible special.

Arsenal's biggest problem today wasn't that Chelsea were better but that Arsenal were fucking awful...........really awful..............

I hope whatever team we put out, they're not strolling around being buddy-buddy best mates with Ade like back in August

And like many others, i'm not too optimistic about the result for this one...
