Theo's Ferrari rejected
He hasnt earned one penny of his wages this season.Maybe he is saving himself for the World cupBring Back Pires wrote:Ay? Don't get me wrong - I think Walcott's an abysmal player who's not fit to wear the shirt - but what's gone to his head?SWLGooner wrote:I don't like the way Theo is adapting to the footballer lifestyle.. it's all gone to his head it seems.
He earns £65k per week, and decided to use two weeks wages to buy his girlfriend a snazzy car. What's he supposed to buy her, chocolates and flowers?

He's not a Thierry and will never be, but could well be an Overmars but problem is that he's already got it all and I doubt he has the desire you need to become a great footballer.
65 k a week for training in the morning 5 or 6 days a week, doing an add or two then giving a few interviews talking about hów much it means to him for wearing the england shirt is not good enough. He needs to shape up.

I agree that he hasn't done anything on the pitch to warrant receiving £65k per week, and it's a sad state of affairs than someone can become so rich by doing absolutely nothing.
However, he's worked his way into that situation, and if a club is foolish enough to shell out that amount, then he's entitled to reap the rewards.
I'm not sure how it's "sticking two fingers up at the fans". What's he supposed to do with the money, give it all to charity? He's not the first player to earn a hefty sum whilst performing badly, and he won't be the last.
I'm sure Mr Rosicky has spent his fair share whilst fannying around on the sidelines for the past three years; is that outrageous too?
Blame management for handing over the cash, don't blame the players for "taking advantage". I'm sure that if the club offered £65k to anyone on this forum they wouldn't feel guilty about accepting.

people just love moaning and will find the smallest things to blow out of proportion for a good ol' rant.

Hopefully this will give Theo the kick up his arse he so dearly needs. If not, well...we might have another Cashley on our hands.
Money can't buy you love, Theo.

I agree with Bring Back Pires ... even though he hasn't earned his £65K/week he can do whatever he wants with his money. Perhaps I should be a bit careful if I treat myself to something for which I had to work 2 weeks for.
If anything this thread shows the frustrations us fans have with Theo. When someone isn't cutting it, any reason is welcomed to slate them even more.
