As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Constructing some of the best Arsenal squads in the history of the club
Introducing advanced methods of training and diet to our club
Teaching the team to play ther best football Arsenal have ever whitnessed
Signing the clubs all time record goalscorer
Going 49 games unbeaten and breaking a 100 odd year old record
Winning the Premiership 3 times
Wnning the FA Cup 4 times
Taking the club to its first ever Champions league final
Orchestrating a move to a brand new 60,000 capacity stadium
Keeping the morals of the club in tact
Staying with us even though constantly being wanted by club and national teams
Not putting the future of the club at risk by wasting money the club doesnt have
Wenger has took an awful lot of stick this week, the amount of negative threads is getting silly...thought it was time to have a look at what he has actually done for us...i have highlighted but a few of them! lay off the bloke... he is a genius and all the while he wants to be at Arsenal im happy to have him!
Nobody disputes all this. But how long can we trade off past glories ?
We are not good enough to win the 2 big trophies and can't be arsed to win the other 2
People need to stop the scare mongering.... buying a player or 2 will NOT bankrupt us, and will NOT turn us into a Leeds. Wenger says we have money, so why should we doubt him???
Wenger says we have money and Swale says we don't.

I'm going with Swale.
As in a relationship/sexual kind of way ? Each to their own I suppose
Yep augie...Every time I read one of Swale's posts I feel like I've been f**ked up the arse, so I'm just formalising things.

I dont see winning something as the be all and end all mate, people keep on...'we must win something this season' Why? will the stadium fall down if we dont? no we will try again next year!
Wenger put this club where it is today, within the top 3 clubs in English football, having done so without spending billions like Chelsea and United have, he deserves massive applause for that!
I really believe a trophy is getting closer and closer.
Before Wenger came along we were rapidly becoming a team that finished around 6th, 7th, 8th or lower, he took us from there right to the top, now he is trying to do so again and i really believe he will
This is a good point which I agree with but it's the lack of passion and fight that he is slowly bringing in to the club which is what I'm not keen on, not winning anything for me (like you) is not the be all but you still expect the team to go out and give 100% every week and that's not happening because he is filling the squad with weak midgets and then spending all money to fix that on giving new and improved contracts to underperforming, undeserving players.
You don't judge a team when it's winning, you judge it when things are not going well as you see the real character of it then.
He and only he is responsible for that so the stick he has been getting is not out of order and I'm a Wenger man.

I'd agree with that. I can cope if we don't win things, that's not why I support Arsenal. But you want to see the players have some fight in them, occasionally they do show some but clearly not enough. They have it far too easy in my opinion and this is often reflected in their performances.
