THE CURSE OF "WENGERBALL"

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You're missing my point. It's not that we don't produce good players for lower levels but look at that lot and almost without exception they're very technical players who don't do the ugly stuff so well.

Gilberto, Petit, Overmars, Vieira etc... were all past their best when they went so failed to make an impact elsewhere

Players like Bentley, Sidwell, Lupoli, do ok for smaller teams as this is where there ability fits in, i dont think its a case of them having certain qualities taken from their game

The decent players we have let go who are in their prime have done ok...Anelka springs to mind, even Sidnwell could fit that as he plays for on of the Premierships better teams.
This is a fairly good point, but to be honest. Since the 'leadres' of the team left The ARSE 2005, etc. The team has basically played in a set way. AA and RVP would in my mind make a considerable difference if given the opportunity by Wenger, and we developed a few like minded soles, not schooled the Wenger Way.

MAN U / CHAVS were two games you could predit the outcome before a ball had been kicked.

easy to say that now
if either Arshavin scores an early chance
or the opposition don't take their very first one
in either game it isnt so inevitable
