The annoying thing is, Bendtner will probably get slated in the papers tomorrow. Nothing will be said about Gerrard.

Gerrard needs to sort it out. I really like him as a footballer, but his diving is out of control.

Just home from game. Good result. I always forget how much i hate liverpool and then we play them and i remember they are all *word censored*. Particularly that diving, prison-avoiding captain of theirs.

Webb was awful - can't believe how often we get yellows for the first foul while other teams get away with it and he gave all the 50/50s and even great tackles, liverpool's way. Our tackling was much improved and we had more structure. MOTD didn't show it but Gerrard dived in the box as well as the free kick, right? Just seen Cesc's handball but there was a crazy amount of added time and dubious decision in the first place, then they moved the ball forward 10 yards.

Hoping this will give some much needed confidence. We looked seriously lacking it until the goal and noticeably changed after. Clichy looked slightly sharper, Gallas was great. Stevie Bould and Romford Pele sitting just in front of me was a nice touch.

just watched the last free kick as well. yeah it was handball but it was outside the box, so they only deserved another free kick, if anything.
it wasn't even a fucking free kick in the first place!

Fabregas was beyond daft with the hand ball. Can't complain in that regard. Should of had another free kick but Gerrards dive before Kuyt was actually fouled was surprsing.

This from an Arsenal fan on scouse forum. I don't know what part of many irritates me more. Gerrard's dive was SURPRISING :?: erm...NO.

Stop licking scouse arses.

Just got back from the game...

Hmmm...

Firstly, a great win and 3 points, I couldn't see a goal coming myself. The first half was probably one of the worse halves I've ever seen.

Anyway, good points, we won and 3 points, I thought we should have had a pen, (Bendtnder) Clichy played alot better tonight, Diaby played pretty well and and a great goal and finally a save by Alumunia that any average goalkeeper should make. (Oh! and Howard Webb is a fucking cheating *word censored*)

All other results, (top two) ok..... game on again (pretty much)

Great win and good atmos tonight - tinged as it was with desperation/frustration - but Clichy is a worry; he really is. Diaby's brain's a bit funny sometimes but you have to say he fought like a tiger...TV5 is something else. And lo... the keeper made a stunning save
What is with that Webb? Scouser? :banghead:

Very funny. 8) Although I have to say I thought Eboue was good tonight - and I am his biggest critic. Nothing silly defensively and added pace and urgency going forward. Well played. 8)

Have to agree with you, thought Diaby had (another) top game. he finally appears to be stringing decent performances together.

What do you make of your lots result tonight (bearing in mind Chelsea lost) 2 points dropped or one point gained?

Great result and puts us right back in the mix again (sort of  ).
Thought we rode our luck, though.
First half was appalling.
Our passing and movement looked laboured and uninspired.
Theo added little and Bendtner always reminds me of the sort of strikers we face when we're playing a Championship side in a cup.
But it was worth it just to see Almunia make a world-class save!
Who would have thought he had it in him?
Well done, lads.
Now let's pick up the pace, eh.

Great result but a poor performance i thought both teams were awful, the only important thing though is a win. :barscarf:
