Do you have a younger, unexperienced server with spirit and potential costing several million a year to maintain as back up?

Fucking hell Porto are shit.

No way we'll go out in the second leg.

What I didn't like about tonight was the constant fouling, Fabregas was basically kicked out of the game. I was amazed to see 11 Porto players finish the game on the field.

On the subject of the 2nd goal. No trouble if the Porto player wrestles the ball from Fabanski and takes it quick but the ref has zero business taking it from him and giving it to the oppo to take quick. Otherwise Fabianski keeps it for 10 more seconds allowing the defence to re-group. Puzzling. :?

I agree, even though we were very poor, we should have been 2-1 up with the penalty (about the 30th we've had turned down post-Eduardo)

All that has been said before, I mainly agree with, but Porto were also dire at the back, and there's goals to be scored in the 2nd leg against them, I'm convinced.

People go on about the usual suspects (clichy and denilson) but I tell you that as bad as they were they were still streets ahead of bedtner and diaby - clichy won more fcuking headers tonight than the beanpole up front and denilson at least worked his nuts off tonight while brainless diaby went for a nap   :banghead:

We could be on here all night slagging off various players but really what is the point ? Wenger hand picked these guys, talked them up big time, gave them huge pay rises, gave them fcuk all coaching and now we are "reaping the rewards" of his policies

It's just too easy for me to say Denilson was absolute fucking pants again. As were the rest of them, bar Sol. So that is our best player tonight - a bloke waaaay past his prime that hasn't played regular football in a year... fuck me pink.

Most annoying thing is Porto are shite. We should put teams like that away no problem.

Flappianski is terrible. Clichy looks lost. Diaby was back to his bad old habits of delaying everything that comes to him, overcomplicating things and losing cheap possession. Nasri looked ropey. Cesc looked a yard or two off. Rosicky tried hard but looked slow too. Bendtner has the first touch of a blind rapist. Did I mention Denilson was total shite?

That second half was so slow I thought someone in the pub had hit rewind on the Sky+ box by accident!

Having said all that I think we'll beat them 2-0 at home. Because they are that average, not because we are that good.

no, just unplug it and throw it through the windscreen of the team coach when it returns later tonight. Mind you, even if we killed half the team AW wouldn't go out and strengthen it. c**t
If we killed half the team we would be strengthening it.
Brilliant

What you basing that on frank ? :? I mean that long streak of shite up front wouldnt trouble a pub team's defence

it took till the 92nd minute for eboue (who should of been on long before the 89th minute ) to produce an attacking spark .

FABIANKSKI
SAGNA
vermaelen
clichy
denilson
FABREGAS

all really bad
Fabianski fucked up twice BIG TIME. He also pulled off a few good saves.

Sagna was ok on balance.

Fabregas turned in a fairly good performance.

So. Just remind me again. What did Eboue bring to the game? And why should he have been played earlier? :?

What about Flappy augie ? Surely now time to admit that he's even worse (amazing though it sounds) than your favourite Spanish mate ?

Could be worse. I'm confident we'll beat Porto at home, and that away goal might be vital.

Page 12 (I think) steve o I absolutely held my hands up big time and admitted my mistake on our keeping situation whilest also paying homage to the man (wenger) who is responsible for this fiasco

The ref fucked up royally for the free kick. He is supposed to place the ball then lift his hand to indicate an indirect free. Instead he drops it, turns his back (while blocking our player) and then after they take it he hurriedly lifts his arm to indicate the indirect.

Of course if Fuckianski had a brain he wouldn't have taken the chance and would have just kicked the fucking thing up the pitch to start with... :banghead:

Am I right in thinking this arsehole is Henry's best mate from the France v Ireland game? And he's an official world cup ref... Ooh, I hope Engerland don't get him in a semi final, lads... :?

And when we beat them - and it will be when (given that they travel about as well as my kids do in the back of the car on a 3 hour journey) - we will hear all about the great spirit. We may even get a winnable tie in the QF, but inevitably Chelsea, Man U or Barca lay in waiting at some stage. Cue more embarrassing spineless defeats....
