Stop all this Arsene out nonsense! (20/3)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Stop all this Arsene out nonsense! (20/3)

usual thread starter... doesn't feel like we are doing better than last season, but i suspect the CL run and those big games in 2006 are the reason for that.

Generally I totally agree with your comments except for those about Baptiste. Playing out of position is no excuse for his poor finishing, his inability to head the ball, his apalling first touch and pathetic passing.

Surely, it is plain for everyone to see. Why do you think Real Madrid were so pleased to off load him after only one season. A season where they used him as little as possible, having discovered just how bad he was.

I have to agree that this season is better than last. The Champs league run of 05/06 masked an otherwise disappointing season... no tfinal of either domestic cup and an extremely fortunate 4th place finish. The 1-0 defeats at Liverpol, Everton etc last season were genuinely dismal performances, at least this year we can say we were unfortunate in most of our defeats, be it though injuries, susps, or bad finishing plus we have 100% records vs Utd & Liverpool and drew at the Bridge... half the time without Henry... not forgetting garunteed Champs Lg football next season. When this team clicks consistently it will win the league, no doubt... have faith! One thing I cant have mind you is this constant criticism of Hleb... He is a fantastic, player, unselfish and knits the play together when lesser players would just hoof a ball in the vague direcion of the penalty area.. still everyone has their favs i spose

I'm with you on Hleb Samwell, while we're on I have a lot of time for Senderos too who might be suffering from second season syndrome.
