Wigan on Saturday

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If Phil the BIG Swiss Cheese plays then 1- 0 to Wigan, PTBSC own goal   If he doesn't play, then 5 - 1 to the Arse 8) :D

So if Phil plays, the difference is we don't score 5 goals?

What's he going to do - tackle arsenal players as they are about to shoot? :D

Our forwards wont go forwards, they will go backwards for fear of PTBSC making further blunders  8)

arsenal.com now says "Five midfielders will be absent and Robin van Persie is also not yet ready for his return to action" but the link to the article isn't working at the moment.

Three of the five are Cesc, Diaby and Flamini but who are the other two?? Perhaps Gilberto for being knackered, but another one?

And no RvP after all.

Bloody hell, could be more interesting this w/e than we hoped.

[I didn't realise using "quote" on your own previous post edited that original post rather than created a new one. Time for a bit of fabrication of history...]

Link's still not working but I assume that Hleb is also one as his picture is up on the home page.

The fifth midfielder must be Hleb as the headline is illlustrated with a picture of him  8)

See AW knew what he was doing with all those midfielders.

Oh yeah. He'll probably go with that lovely chap ahead of Theo. Good times.

I think it should be a comfortable win on saturday and reckon we get thru november.Just read there that Hleb picked up a knock for Belarus the other night but hope its not too serious though.

Hmm can't believe that from a swamp of midfielders we are now almost struggling, think my team would be:

Almunia
Sagna
Toure
Gallas
Clichy
Theo
Diarra
Denilson
Rosicky
Adebayor
Dudu

Bench:

Gilberto
Bendtner
Senderos
Lemon
Eboue

More likely that Eboue will play ahead of Theo despite Theo great form for the u21's and the fact the eboue is a tw*t
