As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
A class player, I was totally gutted when Graham sold him...
Not sure that they club have ever done anything in tribute to him in recent years, I think it would be better to get behind a campaign for a 10 year tribute though...

Not sure if that was Bobby's first goal, but that was the first time he was outstanding for us and became accepted by the highbury faithful. Was at Highbury that afternoon, a really emotional day but an amazing atmosphere. Even the Spurs fans respected his minute's silence; my faith in humankind was restored, for 90 mins.
Yeah, spoke to a Spurs fan after the game and thanked him for their respect. He said they were just as stunned as we were.
007 was right Bobby's first goal was at Lazio. I was there that night too, how could I forget.
Another Rocky moment - didn't the North Bank sing "Happy Birthday" to him at the last home game of the '91/'92 season, which turned out to be his last home game for us? I can't recall us doing that for any other player.

Well, aside from the "Rocky" tribute on the digital ad boards that appears before every game.
Oh.... never seen this,
Here's a photo I took before the Arsenal 1-0 Man City game in August 2007. You can (just about) see the 'Rocky' banner on the ad boards at the opposite end, along with the other signs that graced the North Bank Upper. As far as I know, it still appears before (and possibly after) every game at the Emirates.
Edit: If you look closely, you can also see a steward doing his best 'I'm The King of the World' impression.

Cheers BBP, at work and the photo's blocked, I'll have to see it tonight when I get home. - Thanks
Couldnt they just put that old sign taht had the Anfield 89 etc. on the advertising boardings under club section permanently. I mean its not as if they can be seen by the telly anyway.
