Granted thats true , but in January with RVP out we did need a striker to fill his boots. It cant always be down to Cesc to win us crucial matches. We do let in goals far to easy and next season that has to be top priority. I just feel we have needed that extra striker option that could of won us a few more macthes. Are goal scoring has been good this season, but think of all the chances we do miss, even in the macthes when we score 3 or 4. Imagine a fox in the box type striker included within this mix, we would be unstopable.

imo Senna is twice the player Parker is and can go for 3/4 more yearsPI7ES wrote:Senna is 33 mate, so adapting to a new fast paced league at his age is never going to be garanteed. Would rather buy parker.
(btw I like Parker just think Senna is one of the worlds v best DMs and see Parker as more box2box)
Senna reminds me of Mauro Silva he played on forever

The way we play we cant use a fox in the box, they need to be in our build up play. Everything is played into the feet of our strikers with their back to the goal. Hence why our fox in the box eduardo now cannot play in our formation.

We should have either kept Ade or, better still, replaced him!!! Selling him and pocketing the money may have made great financial sense, but it's left us short all season.
Wenger admitted he didn't replace Ade because he had faith in Vela - which looks silly now, as Vela has contributed nothing
Also, the goalkeeping position has been a disaster this season. Almunia, Mannone and Flappy have been woeful. Wenger says Almunia and Flappy are already world class, which is worrying for those of us who dream of signing a better keeper
- I have a horrible feeling the Spanish waiter will continue to be first choice next season, and to add insult to injury, Wenger will carry on rewarding his incompetence with the captains armband

There's MANY MANY positives this season, but not replacing Ade and keeping faith with Almunia have proved costly. Just how costly, remains to be seen!

With a couple of signings we could have had the league this year, never has it been so for the taking as this year
