Rose goal was a fluke...but this is better

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The point is that we'd never be having this discussion if any of the other 19 Premiership keepers were facing the Rose effort. Take nothing away from the strike which was one in a thousand but....

If Almunia had done what any decent keeper would have done that is keep his hands together rather acting like a cartoon character it wouldn't have been a goal.

IT WENT THRU IS FUCKING HANDS!!!!!!!

brazil has the two best right backs in the world right now IMO. daniel alves and maicon are ALIEN.

that said, brazil does not have ANY decent left back. dunga is considering playing maicon on the left and dani alves on the right :?

cracking goal against a good keeper. and brazil can use Maxwell or Michel Bastos at left back. Maicon and Dani Alves on each side would be good for attacking but if they did that i think they'd need 3 centre backs, so basically a 5-3-2/3-5-2

At 30 seconds into this video i was going to say wasn't we linked with Maicon. At 50 odd seconds he points to the badge as if to say, " im staying here".

But in answer to your question, this is better than the Rose goal.

1. this is in the corner, not straight down the middle at head height.
2. He takes on a player, the Juve players didnt think, fuck it, im not closing it down, i get paid £70,000 a week either way.
3. Hes cut across the ball on purpose, Rose just smashed it goalwards.
4. Its against Buffon, not Almunia.
