I just don't care who comes or goes this summer. Every year I dare to hope and am always disappointed.

and then what happens? we sell all the deadwood in a week, the board release £200 million, we sign 11 world class players and go on a decade long spell of dominance that includes 4 trebles, 5 doubles and a quadruple?

Fuckin grow up!

Realistically, Wenger goes....Cesc goes. Denilson and co will stay, the new manager will have limited funds and we will be back to square one!
From the Arsenal website:

On if his side need a new goalkeeper...
"Everybody has an opinion. I keep my opinion for myself and let everybody have different opinions. I believe you cannot say today we lost the game because of the goalkeeper."

banghead banghead banghead banghead banghead banghead
I hate Flappy, with an absolute passion! But were all 3 goals directly his fault?.... Nope.

The first was a mixture of Diaby not tracking back and marking his man, and the defence leaving a big fucking hole in the 18 yard box!
The second was flappies fault
The 3rd was a curling shot that went in off the post - not the keepers fault! Defensive fuck up if anything.

In essence, Flappy faults = 1 goal ...... we scored 2!
Would have been nice if he actually dived for the shot, instead of watching it go by him though, ok he MAY not have got to it, but at least he would have showed us he was actually trying. :?
Completely agree with you Frank, he didnt make any effort to save it, but at the same time, the goal was hardly a goalkeeping error.

As i said, i hate Flappy, he is not good enough by a long, long way, but its unfair to say he was responsible for all 3.

Well I've said it before but I'll repeat it as it makes me feel slightly better! I would like to see Wenger go now, as I believe winning the PL or CL is beyond him (he doesn't even try for the domestic cups). Another year will be another wasted year. He's already given all the average squad players extended and improved contracts so when he does eventually go, we're stuck with the crap that he has persisted with, that's the biggest problem. I would love to see Mourinho bought in, I reckon he would have us winning a trophy within 2 years and with him in charge, we may just keep Fab and RVP.

you are a fucking glory hunter who has no idea what it was like to support club between 1953 -1969 - no trophies 1971-1987 onetrophy.

Oh of course yeah im a glory hunter because im in my 30's ,sorry i wasnt born 53-69 roly i'll have a word my parents, sorry about that.

I am the most genuine of gooners have been one all my life, went to highbury over 100 times and have had a season ticket for 4 years now after waiting for it for 9 seasons, been all over europe and up and down this country and spent 10's of thousands doing so dont fucking tell me im a glory hunter cos i never saw the 71 double team

for what its worth i think we would have been in with a massive shout with the 6 you mentioned all available, but we havent,as the above 2 teams never had certain players available earlier in the season.

got a FACT for you,no trophy in 6 seasons, and i was there when we won the last one.

I dont mind not winning anything for the next 10 years.

What I object to is the high ticket prices the club charges coz they think we are a super club and expect us to play super club prices.

Fuk the board...money grabbing *word censored*

i wont stop supporting them as i love the club, but another 10 years without a trophy fills me with dread,i pay around a grand for my ST which over 26 games is about 35 quid a game which i think is quite good value, but if we dont win anything in the next 2 or 3 years, the ground will only be half full everyweek, the board need to factor that in too.

There is an attitude amongst older folk that the younger ones don't show enough patience or don't know what barren times are like.
They say stuff like "we used to turn up... watch the boys put in a inept display... have a sing-song... go home and come back next week..."

Well that's not altogether true.

Whilst we had Terry Neill in charge, and especially in the 83/84 season, my older cousin would return with my copy of The Gunner and curse the team and the manager. He'd say "the whole Northbank was having a go at Neill!, What the f$%k is he doing to my club? The ex-*** twat!!"

But then he'd always go back for more!

So what's the difference to today (apart from the fact Wenger isn't ex-Middlesex)?

That will be the moment it hits the board. Whatever the fans' feelings over the years, the Arsenal board have never been in tune with the supporters. They are very good at putting a bit of discontent down to 'just a few unhappy fans.' I think they still live in the days of believing there is a huge demand for Arsenal tickets. Take out the big games and tickets have been fairly easy to get hold of recently. They got a bit lucky this year in that we were in the hunt until April but to be fair, we've not been genuine title contenders since we moved ground. Another season of this, a few empty seats and club level gaps and they may well either release some funds for a big name player or get rid of Wenger.

The board are so dis-engaged from us fans, take hill-woods comments about fabregas,it probably didnt even register that what he said would affect the fans cos he doesnt give a fuck about the majority, all long as the corporate boxes are being filled up happy days for them, because the average supporter on the terrace is being replaced the next one in the queue of 40,000 odd so us as individuals dont count, and it attendances do start to tail off they will be the first ones bemoaning us for it!!

its a shame because to the board all looks rosy as the ground is full every week and they sit behind noise proof glass, and dont really know the real feelings on the terraces, even the AGM's are becoming a bit stage managed from what i hear.

also i always listen to radio phone ins win lose or draw,i heard about 10 gooners yesterday and today, having a go at other fans showing some displeasure towards wenger, everyone that called in said something along the lines of "he's worked wonders for our club,he should never be sacked he led us to the new ground, hang your heads all you naysayers",that is not a true representative of how a lot of gooners currently feel, and i feel the average fan is being a touch misrepresented.

I think we're only a couple of key signings away from being an awesome squad.
Imagine a Melo, Hangeland and Lloris added to our present squad.
I think Wenger will get busy in the off-season (and already has ie Chamakh).

He has gambled on injuries over the past couple of seasons and he's lost.
But, our injury roll call over the past few years has beggared belief.
No other club has been lacerated with injury to key players at key moments like we have.

A fit, first-choice Arsenal team is a match for any club in the world.
That's something to be f*cking proud of, fellow Gooners.

We're well on top of the Grove repayments and I think we will splash out on some key players in the off-season.
We just need a little dash of Adams/Vieira in the mix and we're away.

Arsene wants to win just as much as any of us.
Rosetinter or realist.
