Cesc... still God!!!

Post by Ollar »

I really appreciate Cesc form since the beginning of the season, & he's still improving rather than maintaining it... Boy! U're a world Class rated.

RVP also doing very greatly but for his injury that is keeping him out of actions...really missing him.

Sagna, a wonderful kid...with these lads Arsenal is holding the title, only that the striking force need to be worked upon.

good to see a positive outlook..
personally I still dont think Cesc has been as influential as previous years, but is more than making up for it with his goal record. Will improve which can only be good..
I wouldnt say the striking force needs to be worked on, the numbers are there and we have 3 strikers in good form, we just need 2 up there..rather than isolating one striker up top, and wasting another on the bench or on the wing..

striking force

Post by Ollar »

agreed with U, pal but I mean the striking force should be worked upon is a sharp striker that is everywhere on the picth just like Fabr. I think Adebayour is a bit dull by him alone upfront...

Thats also been the problem, even when playing 2 up top, we havent really had the chance to get a real partnership going..For me the best would be:

RvP & Adebayor- V.P to drop slightly deeper, link up play and provide through balls for Ade, who does a lot more of the running and making space for Robin.

Adebayor & Walcott- the "Big man, little man combo" could work, flick ons and such through Adebayor, maybe doubts as to whether Ade could find the key ball enough for Walcott to benefit..

Bendtner & Eduardo- A natural goalscorer and a target man..again the flicks ons could benefit a poacher like Edu and also on set pieces you have a threat in the air and on the floor, a fox in the box type finisher picking up on loose balls..

this has got me thinking of an RvP/Walcott partnership too... :) ..have we ever seen these 2 start up-top?
