Emirates Cup 2010 - Hugo Lloris

AC Milan, Celtic and LYON.

Do you think the latter could be part of a deal to bring Hugo Lloris to us!?

Maybe it's deal to bring Flamini back.

Or Nesta and Maldini to bring down the average age of our central defenders

 :?

  you mean letting a man who had had his hand in the till loose with the cheque book? That kiwonya signing was desperate...and helder one must've have been a bit suspect.

remember Hartson's first game. He brought the ball down and controlled it first time, and everyone reacted like "what was that?"

Lloris is a top quality keeper. I'd love for Arsenal to sign him - he's only 23 too. Unfortunately Lyon don't need any money and Lloris is contracted. I read an article the other day about Lyon - Essien to Chelsea was the same thing.

Chavs bidded £10m for Essien (a pretty good price for a relative unknown). Lyon held out for £24m even though Essien threatened to strike and refuse to play!!

I don't think Lyon will sell, and if they do, he'll be well overpriced. Top keeper though.

I've been very unimpressed with the bits I've seen of Lloris, especially the first leg of the semi at Bayern where he flapped at everything thrown into the box. Christ knows we've enough of that going on already. I'm not sure he's the goalkeeping messiah you lot seem to think.

I thought he did alright in the first leg at Bayern. I watched the Liverpool v Lyon game (and the reverse in france) and also Lyon v Bordeaux and in both games he pulled off 3-4 top quality saves. I think it was at Anfield where a bullet header came in and he somehow managed to stretch up and turn it over... amazing save.

I probably havent seen enough of him to be certain, although there's no doubt he'd be streets ahead of the dross we already have. That's not saying much mind!

Frankly, any premiership goalie is better than either of our two main ones, so doesn't really matter which keeper you name. Bring in The Beast Jensen from Burnley as our no.2 keeper. If NB52 can beat him in training than the world is his oyster.
