This team badly needs quality signings but I will still say that I hope joe cole is not one of them whether cesc stays or goes. I am not questioning his ability/talent but am sticking resolutely behind my belief that he does not cure any of the major weaknesses this team has (gk, cb or cm). I know he can sign without a transfer fee but his 110k per week wages does come from our transfer budget so I would much rather that money be given to a top quality keeper, centre back or centre midfielder

Nobody knows what money he'll be on, for all we know he could even take a pay cut with the promise of first team football at a top club. If he was all about money he'ld stay at Chelsea

Cole will also know where he's going. He might not have signed but an agreement in place. Nobody is going to have it coming out before or suring the WC, but I would find it suprising, given how strongly these links are, if it turns out to be bullshit

That's the bit I don't understand. Why only 3 years? It will surely mean that after the 12-18 months, Cole's agent will be looking to get some sort of increase with the knowledge that if Arsenal don't pay it, he'll be liable for a 'free' transfer again shortly down the line. :? :? :lol: :wink:

Our best teams over the years had backbones of English players that gave some steel to add to the flair of foreign genius' that also played for us. Maybe and i dont know Irish Gooner personally but maybe this is what he would like again???? and it does make some sense.

Now refering to him as Hitler or Griffin because of this is quite frankly pathetic he has made NO rescist comments and isnt even English himself :roll: :lol: but then again maybe you know more and he is a fully payed up member of the Nazi party
