Arsenal Sign Centre Back Laurent Koscielny

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

havent Wolfsburg allready had Barzagli & Zaccardo off of Palermo allready?
Whether or not we could afford him is a moot point. Would he really want to come to us?

Seriously dorset ?? Would he want to join a club playing in the champs league alongside his danish buddy bendtner and under the "mythical genius" of wenger ahead of playing for a german team not in champs league and under the guidance of the "wally with the brolley" ? If he really would prefer to go to wolfsburg then it really is time to close down this football club and open a supermarket or something similar instead

So who watched Stepanovs and Cygan - Ray Charles?

I'll refer you to Vince's answer...

And add to that...Stepanovs and Cygan cost 1m and 2m. Even accounting for inflation the tight arsed Wenger dropping 8m for this guy would suggest he rates him a lot higher than either of those Arsenal legends...which as i said either means he has unearthed a bit of a gem or he has lost his head...only time will tell which is the case..

He's a center back we've been watching for years (like Vermaelen) so he must be quality. Of course he hasn't experience, that's why I'm convinced there will be another signing in defense. But I think he'll surprise many of you.

How big is he ?
How quick is he ?
How comfortable on the ball is he ?
And most importantly..Why are French birds so good in bed ?

nothing, I only watch the big games in french league, so I can't really say. I just know he's been one of the best CB in the league this season.

How big is he ?
I think he's about 6ft or 6ft1.

How quick is he ?
I heard he's very quick for a CB.

How comfortable on the ball is he ?
I guess he's good :P

And most importantly..Why are French birds so good in bed ?
I don't know, I only shagged french girls so I can't compare

Well it looks like Wenger Frenchie and have been at the scouting mast again, not really sure this is what we need. A more experienced player would of been extremely more beneficial in the short term I would of thought.

Anyhow he cannot be any worse then either Stepanovs and Cygan.. :)

I'm not really disagreeing, as such.

I'm sceptical about the Koscielny signing myself, but until I've seen him play, I just cannot agree that it's a "no brainer" to sign Kjaer over Koscielny. That was my point, really.

Also, you mrntion that Kjaer has 30 caps, but it is for Denmark (where Bendtner is a regular! :? ) so I tend to gloss over things like that.

But, as I said, I'm concerned about Koscielny but until I've seen him play a few times, I can't really form an opinion.

to be honest, bendtner is not only a regular but a key member of the dannish team, so much that he was nursed during the world cup, playing half-fit as the lone striker... :?
