DAY 1 OF QUITTING SMOKING

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Quite enjoyable but made me cough a bit, is this normal?

Well I know that some of the threads on this forum can be unpalatable flash, but for it to be the cause of a coughing fit is a tad unusual. :? :?

I turned it in back in February this year. Up to now I've been okay but the last two weeks on holiday were a killer. I found it hard to stay stopped when in the tavernas with a beer.

I'm feeling much better for having quit and have even managed to complete my first ever fun-run this week. The weight is still a bit of an issue as work at the gym has been countered by being constantly hungry. I think it's gonna be a long road but I'm getting there and there is no reason anyone else cannot do it too.
Good luck to all those others that are trying this at the moment. :barscarf:

I need to put on weight so quitting has been great! 4 pints in the pub tonight should help!

Day 8 and I can sit around smokers and not feel tempted. Sure it smells nice but I'm not interested! Saving my money I woulda spent on fags for next seasons season ticket or a romantic weeked away in Paris with my girlfriend!
