So let me get this straight.... Fulham's 37 year old keeper would indeed be interested in playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world (albeit they don't always act like it!). Apparantly he is said to be "ok" with the prospect of Champions League football, a hefty signing on fee and a substantial rise in his pay....

I've heard the Buffon rumour resurface. As far as I know Arsenal are looking at a number of Keepers. Personally the Slovenian keeper would be a great signing.

Buffon happy at Juve

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has stated that he never felt he would leave the club after the World Cup.

Regarding his future at Juve, Buffon was adamant that he was happy to stay at the Stadio Olimpico, despite reported interest from Manchester United, Manchester City and Bayern Munich in his services.

"I didn't reject any offer because I never even thought of leaving Juventus," he added.

"When that intention isn't there, it's pointless to look at proposals or know someone is interested in you. I believe the love shown daily by Juve fans is something grand and priceless."

Not an Arsenal related rumour but there are strong rumours that khedira is leaving for stuttgart to go to madrid for 9m - is 9m cheap for this guy and if so is he a player we should be interested in then ?
If he goes there madrid are accumulating some mass of defensive midfielders (2 diarra's & gago are already there) and maybe one or more of them would be available ? Personally I think gago would be a good signing for us

For me Khedira would be a better choice, for a dm he is physically stong and has got a few goals in him.

9mill is a steal, one would think we are in that kind of business but our transfer dealings never seize to amaze me

Nope, heard it today from a fella here who has a link with the board - sometimes he is very right, sometimes he is very wrong (Joe Cole!).

Its the usual, "know a man, who knows a man" Im afriad - I wouldnt stake your house on it, but he does usually come up trumps with this stuff.
