Goodbye Eduardo

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Anyone know why Denilson isn't in that squad? :?

Fair enough that RVP and Cesc are on holiday after a late WC but what D15's excuse? Back problems again!

Mate. I have positive days and negative days (mostly negative) regarding Mr Wenger.
He cant be that stupid can he? he cant be in denial that much can he?
If he doesnt buy any more needed players in the transfer market it will be a disgrace.
I just hope the fans dont sing "only one Arsene Wenger" if we go 1.0 up to Blackpool. We need to make our STRONG complaints heard not inflate his french ego!

LATEST UPDATE.............

"Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola says a deal to sign Denilson may be scuppered by Arsenal's reluctance to sell their talisman.

Arsenal have already rejected a $85.6 million bid from the Spanish champions and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has demanded an end to speculation over the transfer.

Denilson, 22, was a product of the Sao Paulo youth scheme before leaving to join Arsenal at the age of 16.

"He is a very important player for Arsenal and I understand that he will cost a lot of money," Guardiola told reporters on Monday, AFP reported.

"It is Arsenal who are in charge (of this deal) and if Arsenal don't want it, he will not come.

Arsenal striker Eduardo has agreed a £6million move to Shakhtar Donetsk after being assured by Croatia boss Slaven Bilic his international future would be unaffected.

The 27-year-old has struggled to get his career back on track following his horrific leg break against Birmingham in 2008 and has made just one appearance for his country since.

Boss Arsene Wenger told Eduardo he would not be a first-team regular this season and the striker had a medical at Arsenal yesterday under the supervision of Shakhtar's doctors.

But before agreeing to a £2m-a-year contract, Eduardo sought advice from Bilic on whether the Ukrainian league was good enough to display his international credentials.

Denilson's not very well at the moment, but will regain a starting place in the team next season having dodged pre season friendlies

You see, Wenger ranks denilson in the same class as fabregas, hes too good for friendlies. Cant afford to have him injured.
