I read few posters here mentioning 'enjoying style of football we play'.

I find our style utterly frustrating, all those endless fancy passes that ultimately end nowhere, yesterday we haven't had a proper shot on goal untill 80th minute (Rosicky)...and all that to show for 64% possesion...utterly frustrating...

I know there is a lot of talk about getting new keeper and defender, but what we really really neede is a top class striker...

The formation we play with one up front wouldn't nessasrily help a top class striker.
I'm becoming less a fan of this formation. Having one up front means teams can play narrow (ala Liverpool yesterday, Chavs last year) and let us cross our socks off. We don't have an ariel presence in the box to score. So instead of wasting the ball by crossing we move the ball back....and fouth....and again.
Put 2 up front and we can be more direct.

I think we've changed the system to suit Cesc.

What I forgot to mention is that we need 6'4 tall world class striker...

Now you just being fucking picky!
Dzecko!

Serioulsly, I think Chamack gives as that option but he's in there on his own.
What happens in the 4-3-3 is that the opposite striker winger wil drift in to support. Problem is neither Theo or Ashavin are ever going to cause problems in the air!

Which is why I prefer the 4-4-2 or our players are too small to support.

Tell me about it.

I don't enjoy watching us play at all. The pass pass routine irritates the fuck out of me. No purpose to our play, no penetration, no end product.

We don't play entertaining football it's a myth.

spot on skipper, or tippy tappy footabll isnt enjoyable to watch, thats a myth. our football was fantastic to watch in the henry/pires days as we moved the ball quickly, now everything is so slow, and not incisive enough, its not easy on the eye anymore, its just frustrating.

Fucking right. The guy is quick to have a go at anyone who doesn’t love Wenger and all the players. Well I was at the Match on Sunday and didn’t join in the brainless chant for Wenger; I wasn’t alone either despite people hearing it on TV.
Does that make me a travelling fan to Anfield, not loyal to the team or the Manager?
Easy to say Norris when your watching on TV, but when your there and your watching people not try and that idiot Wenger stand up and flap his arms it gets fucking annoying!
:banghead:
Sideways, sideways, sideways, sideways - Pass fucking sideways!!!!! WHY?????????????????
Does Wenger know anything about tactics anymore?

This was the shocking thing when Cesc was talking about the differences between the Spainish national team and Arsenal.

He said "At Spain we sit down for about an hour and watch clips and tapes on the oppossion and discuss how to play. At Arsenal we don't do that!"

I think AW goes about it saying "this is how we will play and we will do this etc..."with no appreciation or consideration how your opponents will play or line up.
Still shocking and no wonder we got turn over by Hull last year.

We are the neutrals favourite but has anyone ever asked why?

People I speak to say Arsenal are brilliant to watch (which we are) but unlike ManUre and Chelsea, the result is always in doubt until the final whistle.

When those two go 1 or 2 goals up that's it, they strangle the life out of the opposition and it's game over. When we go 1 or 2 goals up we carry on naively bombing forward and are just as likely to lose 2-1 or 3-2.

I don't want to be the neutrals' favourite - I want to be f**king Champions again!!

I remember Vieira saying something similar years ago when asked what Wenger was like in the dressing room before a game and at half time and Paddy said something like "he's very quiet, he just let's us get on with it". Great if you have everything sorted from training I suppose, but the impression I got (and this has been strengthened over the years) was Arsene has no plan B and doesn't really believe in a plan B... :?
