SUNDERLAND AWAY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not an easy place to go. We are on form, but still so much is in the hands (or not, as the case may be!) of that idiot Almunia...

Heart says 2-1 to The Arsenal but head says I'll take an away point. :?

Hmmm... I reckon we'll win this one easy, I'm going for a 3-1 win in this.

Confident we can nick the 3 points but we'll have to be at our best.

First game of the season for me

But as Davey said we were out done in midfield last season, out muscled.. But with Cana gone and Cattermole (who I rate quite highly) suspended I reckon we can go on and take 3 points, going to be tough though

2-1 Arsenal :barscarf:

Fancy Gyan to cause us a few problems but I'm fairly confident that we'll win it. 2-1 Arsenal.

Picked us to lose this on the tippers thread, so I'm going 2-1 to Sunerland. But I thought we'd lose last night.

I reckon we'll win this one. 2 nil. City should have killed Sunderland off, and had Tevez scored that sitter it would have been a different game.

Hopefully 6 points from the next 2 games would set us up for the Chelsea game nicely.

The most important man for us on Saturday evening will be :-

The referee!!

Sunderland aren't a filthy team like Stoke / Wolves / Newcastle / Bolton / Blackburn / Birmingham (f**k me that's more than a 1/4 of the league) but Steve Bruce will have watched last nights game and seen how Cesc / Jack / Sammy destroyed a team that gave us time and space.

I'll bet £1million that Bruce's team talk will be along the ago old lines of "get stuck into 'em lads, hit 'em early, let 'em know you're there cos they don't like it up 'em". We've seen it so many times but still refs turn a blind eye to so many agricultural challenges.

With a strong ref I reckon we'll win 0-2 but with a Riley type ref it could easily be 1-1.
