It has now gotten to the stage that I dont even mention the board anymore..........he may be genuine or he may well be another "character" created by an existing member but you can only beat the same drum so many times without losing the message you are trying to get across. I have said to him on many occasions that he is turning people against his ideas purely as a result of so so many repeat posts and he has chosen to ignore that warning which makes me feel that he is on a piss take/wind up

Let's be serious - very serious. You theory is making excuses for people who simply don't have the will on their own or otherwise as in this case to make the effort. We all know individual letters no matter how many simply won't get it done.

So if people don't want to sign my petition because they don't like me personally why is there no other petition circualted by of them? If there was such a petiton dating back to that time I could buy your argument, but I have yet to see hear or read of one put otgther by anyone here certainly unless it is a double-secret petition of some sorts only certain people are invited to sign or some such bizarreness.

As for your seeming assertion that the less we discuss the Board's actual or possible impact on the events from 2005 to now and their potential impact on events going forward, would you care to explain how that works exactly?

I am 100% serious - can you explain how not discussing this gets more people to think about it and re-consider their position from here? Because this is rather hard to understand on its own. How you believe discussing the Board less will actually lead more people to take more of interest in changing how Arsenal is run for the better just doesn't make sense at all. How does not mentioning the Board at all get more Gooners to consider the Board's impact on these events more?

The bottom line you only kidding yourself Augie. You not ready to really say or do anything yourself on your own yet it seems - that was the challenge hurled at me from several on here as well so don't take that personally - and reading your posts you almost seem to be counting on things getting so bad we will join together because there will be no other option.

The problem there is that there is no more guarantee of real success then than there is now if the Board simply don't care what we think, and by then we will have let Arsenal slip down into an even more precarious posittion on - and quite possibly off - the pitch.

If people don't like me that doesn't stop them signing a petition they believe in. If they don't sign it's because they don't want to whatever their reasons. The idea that there would be more signers from here if we just were more quiet like the "good Gooners" is a fallacy.The fact that no one has attempted a petition even with the selling point that this is not that boring wanker USMartin's petition (which would probably be so popular it might even trick some of the true believers into signing) says it all.

Augie I'm not trying to have a go - but simply saying the Board are wankers even with some first-class gusto has no chance of accomplishing anything on our behalf.

Maybe a petition even if fully embraced by every sector of the Gooner community has no better chance. The thing is maybe it does. It's got to be better than just calling the Board wankers or bastards or whatever.

There are things I would change about how I apprached some of this I had it to do all over again, but honestly the one thing I wouldn't do is simply say as little as possible on these matters. In fact if people truly shared the same concerns as me and the desire to try and actually do something to address them I wouldn't be banging on constantly about this because I wouldn't have had to. It's not like a ton of people were standing with me then peeled away over time. They weren't there really from day one - at least there weren't willing to take the next step.

First off its fallacious to indicate there is a simple answer answer here. I can prove it but I doubt in the required minimal time and space you would seek to impose

Second off it is utterly hypocritcal given just how many people have constantly put words in my outh or directly used false or mis-leading information to staisfy there own incorrect of false conlusions abotu me and about whether or not I am a supporter. And if you actually read the posts you know I am absolutely correct about that. Yet I don't see you discouraging any of that or challenging those people to prve the facts behind what they are saying or saying I am saying or have done here or elsewhere. Care to explain? With all due respect you are starting to show that same inconsistency many show in which they apply different standards or burdens of proff to the people they agree with or know better and are firends with than the people they disagree with or don't know as well or like as much. I'm sorry to be offfensive if in fact you take this that way, but can you honestly say you have held anyone else addressing to the same standards of anything in these discussions? Easy to explain.

I hold you in relatively high regard. I admire your views, your consistency, and your campaign. I've encouraged you on more than one occasion, and even signed your petition.

And, for the reason above, it irritates me that you resort to underhand tactics to wind people up by putting words in their mouths.

You have often attacked Quartz for misleading people, and you clearly despise the fact that the board mislead, lie and basically spout bullshit when it suits them, but you do the same. If something can be engineered to fit your agenda, then all gloves are off You stoop to their level by twisting words - you know you do it. You want the moral high ground over the board, but twisting words and manipulating debates by putting words in people's mouths is nothing but a cheap shot. It shoots your integrity to hell.

As for my "inconsistency"...

If I was attending a lecture on food hygiene, then I'd expect the lecturer to practice what he preaches. If, however, he was behaving in a similar fashion to those he condemns for poor hygiene, then I'd be annoyed. I'd be critical. Does that mean, to be consistent, I should be critical and annoyed at all people who are unhygienic? no, of course not - just the silly sod of a lecturer who can't live up to the standards that he set!
