We lost today because we didnt have that cutting edge to win the game. We got to 1-0 and there was no urgency to get a 2nd or 3rd to kill the game. The partnership of Chamkh and Bendtner is a forward 3 doesnt Wenger has to play either or. There were too many times when Bendnter had the ball on the right wing and he just didnt have the skill to get past the defender and put in a cross or go for a shot.

Completely agree, his biggest asset is his huge head but he can never use it. Arsene obviously believes him when he says "iz got silky skilz innit."Deise Gooner wrote:We lost today because we didnt have that cutting edge to win the game. I agree QG.You can add Diady Squilaci and Eboue to those who should be shown the door. But sadly Wenger will stick by these average players because he is so stubborn. Our B team have shown against lower league opposition this season they are not good enoughQuartzGooner wrote:I hope there is a clear out in the summer.
I expect Almunia, Denilson, Bendtner, Vela, Traore, Watt and Rosicky to leave.
Like to see if the likes of Ramsey, Botelho, JET, Afobe, Ryo, Coquelin, Frimpong and Bartley are hungrier, especially on a cold afternoon at a lower league ground.
I didn't like miquel,if he tries what he did today against better teams he will get caught out, just get rid don't try being flash.other than that he looks as if he's got a bright future ahead of him.
Getting a bit fcuked off with chamakh trying to pass the ball in bloody lace it for fcuks sake, especially as he had a cracking start to the season and if wenger plays him with the likes of fabregas jacky boy etc I'm sure we will see more of the chamakh we saw early on in the season.
As for almunia, denilson, bendtner, rosicky, squilacci and although eboue didn't play well all know they are hopeless just hope that wenger sees the light.

those are not the only games that list of players have played in
and they all haven't even played in all of those games FFS
they basically haven't played well enough to be Arsenal players (some for quite some time, some ever) and it's pretty hard to see that changing
but picking a select few games as 'evidence' doesn't actually show anything
I could pick out a few games that brilliant Arsenal players played in and we lost

It was only the B team tho with the exception of bac & song. Was a shite performance from players that clearly are no way near good enough, but that is the point - THEY ARE OUR SQUAD PLAYERS. We cant have 25 worldclass players to choose from, because they wont sit on the bench. They might not be world beaters - but they are SQUAD PLAYERS!

They are squad players but it is not as if we have started an academy team out there, apart from Miquel.
Denilson and Gibbs are experienced at FA Cup level.
Squillachi Rosicky, Bendtner, Chamakh are all experienced internationals.
I know it is realistic that these players will lack a bit of sharpness that can only come through playing regular first team football, and I know we had decent possession, but the bottom line is we lack the killer instinct that kills off games by pushing on when we have a lead of one goal. We must instill this ethos in our club.
Arshavin played quite well though, for once he avoids my criticism.
