Arjen Robben
Arjen Robben
Now that the transfer window is closed, and our usual paranoia about who we're going to lose and who we're not going to sign can ease for a while, my mind has been wondering to what Le Boss might (or might not) do in the summer.
One name that crossed my mind, because (1) a winger is what we need (as well as a new goalkeeper), (2) he's very talented but hasn't done very well at Real and (3) we now appear to like signing Chelsea cast-offs almost as much as they like signing ex-Arsenal players, is Arjen Robben.
His attitude is one big issue (what is it about the Dutch?... Other than Dennis of course). And of course, he might be happy to stay at Real.
Any thoughts?

Robben has plenty of talent and when he plays a run of games looks very effective. But his injury and rumoured attitude problems means he's not on the horizon.
I would not be surprised if we try to sign Charles N'zogbia from Newcastle. With the right guidance he could fill our left-sided position.
And I imagine that your question relating to Dutch footballers is rhetorical...Otherwise, read "Brilliant Orange" for an insight. I read it and still don't understand them!

I agree with IHH. Gingers, weddings, tits, beer, RedTube, pink cats are all welcome as topics but for football go to BBC 606I Hate Hleb wrote:FECKING DISGRACEFUL IF YOU ASK ME!Galasso wrote:...And bonus points for the football-related thread 26may1989![]()

About Robben, I think he was great for Chelsea and I wouldn't mind him at Arsenal as we need a left-footed left-winger; Diaby isn’t one and Rosicky hasn't showed anything that special. He is injury-prone and dives as Gus pointed out but so are Van Persie and Eboue respectively.
