with the amount of games we will have to play having a player who can slow things down when you are in the lead can be an asset
All does is fuck up. He is a liability. The fact that he has an important role to play is the worrying thing.
Denilson is just about championship quality.

I did compare Denilson to vaginal discharge this morning, so it has improved.

I don't think I have ever see the words Denilson and quality used in the same sentencemikeyb772001 wrote:Its becuase there is 3 hours left of my day.goonersid wrote:Fuck you are in a generous mood today Mikeymikeyb772001 wrote:highburyJD wrote:he will be an important player for us if we want to go all the way in every trophy

over the last few years we've scored several amazing team goals after 30 plus passes
denilson is involved in almost all those goals
his conservative ball retention style of play is not eye catching but two seasons ago was consitently effective
last year he cam back from injury and was dreadful
totally terrible and it cost us in key games
he hasn't got back to his old form, nobody would suggest starting him but he's an Arsenal player and whilst he wears the shirt I'll support him 100%
hatred for our own players is illogical and can only be counterproductive
Wenger is not the sort of manager who would ever let the fans influence his selection
the groans and moans can only negatively effect our players
denilson makes a lot of interceptions, on form his positioning and decision making is good
his place is taken in our current side by wilshere, one of the best young players in the world, obv he's not as good as him or cesc, nasri, song etc
imo he's a country mile ahead of selley, morrow, mcgoldrick, hillier even preWenger Parlour
we cheered all those guys on
I find the bile directed at our own players here bizarre
we all want Arsenal to win - anyone who suggests their hatred of certain players compromises that either
1- hasn't genuinely thought it through and is just ranting (I'm sure that description covers lots of all our posts def does mine)
or
2- has serious issues. why would you reduce your own happiness because of hatred of somebody you don't even know?!!
denilson and bendtner are bought and selected by a manager
nobody would refuse to play
how can you blame them
its Wengers choice, he lives and dies by it
at this stage of this season its going very very well
why dont we try and get behind the crap players even MORE than the good ones
Nasri doesn't need us to tell him he's the shizzle
did you see his face before the Barca game? looked like he was about to laugh - he has balls of steel
its players like denilson who need our support imo

Making interceprions is not a quality, anyone can do it, you are basically getting in the way of a pass, I hate it when people lay praise on him because he is good at getting in the way of the ball.
He is basic and average at that, I've seen some compare him to Parlour with regards to him being simple, Parlour was dynamic and energetic, Denilson is clumsy, slow and weak.
He's good at Interceprions though, give him a pay rise.

After watching him for the best part of 100 matches I can honestly say that I don't think I am pre-judging him. Indeed, it's the exact opposite actually. I'm making my judgements based on my what I've seen with my own eyes (and of course my formidable football knowledge.)highburyJD wrote:people have pre-judged some of our players and will just see what they want to see

Do you really think his critics want to see Denilson struggling to track back, or make tackles, or pass effectively or retain possession properly? Of course not. We'd much rather he was the talented world class midfielder that Wenger somehow believes he is. Even being a competent one would suffice for most of us!!
