please answer if you know, but does anyone know what the carling academy in islington is like - dodgy area/venue etc. supposed to be going in april, just wnated to know what its like.......

The venue is one of those rectangular rooms, rather than an old dancehall type with a circular or oval crowd area, so best to get to front early on as otherwise you end up being stuck at back and hard to see stage.
It's a safe enough venue (please G-D for you), it's in that precinct with the Borders and the cinema, couple minutes walk from the Angel tube. Why not take a trip to the stadium before or after to pay your respects too...always inspiring to go there even when no game is on, just to see where the best team in England plays.
