Arsenal Player

Post by Gunner4LiF3 »

I don't know whether this had been mentioned already, but from 8th of June every Arsenal member will get free access to the new version of Arsenal TV online.

More details below!

Hopefully the increase in number of people watching will result in them showing more live reserve, youth and ladies games.

It's not exactly free.
£980 is expensive considering I can watch away games for free via Myp2p.

I'm assuming you are a red or silver member. If not then club have got you there just like they wanted to. It's just an excuse to increase ticket prices.

 don't be a muppet mate, it's just a pathetic excuse, to try and butter up the fans, after putting up ticket prices by 6.5%. Does anyone remember Arsenal TV on sky, that bombed like shite and was soon taken off the air - this arsenal player is just the same - they promise audio commentrys on live games, when you can watch the fucking thing on a dodgy stream :banghead: :banghead:

I used to like watching Arsenal Tv when it was part of the Setanta package before the Uk branch went bankrupt.

If the club expected this 'Arsenal Player' to be some sort of consolation for raising ticket prices, then they're wrong... very wrong!

But, as a silver member who was paying £20-odd membership per season, it's an added bonus to get Arsenal TV Online thrown in with it. It'll be nice to have when the obscure friendlies come around over the summer, and apparently the press conferences are quite interesting, too.

Doubt I'll get much use out of the commentary, but on the odd occasion that sopcast, etc. lets me down, it'll be a useful thing to log onto I suppose.

I'm trying to look at the ticket price increase and the 'free' Arsenal Player as completely seperate because I'm certain this 6.5% price hike was coming in anyway... so, in that sense, 'Arsenal Player' is an added bonus - and a welcome one at that because I've been suggesting it should be part of the membership package all along!! (hmm... maybe Ivan listened to me??  )

From June 8, Arsenal TV Online will be replaced by our fantastic new online video service 'Arsenal Player'. All levels of the Arsenal membership scheme will have unlimited access*.

From this summer, Arsenal Player will bring you all the latest action and interviews in a new video player that allows you to watch HD quality video** on a top-class, easy-to-use website.

It's the Player every Arsenal fan deserves to watch - and it?s coming your way soon.
Except those who aren't members of course.

Wankers.

I seriously doubt the ticket price rise and this Arsenal player becoming free have got anything to do with each other.

I do however agree that it should have been free from the very beginning.

I'm a silver member, and I only go to 5-10 matches home matches a season, so I wouldn't say I will be overly affected by the price rise, but I do understand the anger at the club coming from gold members.

Are you being serious? The club are clearly trying to soften the blow, *word censored*.

Sorry but why the club would make a service which costed about £3 a month free all of a sudden? Because of the price of tickets increasing. Did they think by including it we'd somehow forget the increase? Wankers.
