Adebayor: I would be first choice at Barca

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Adebayor: I would be first choice at Barca

Post by Justin-the-Gooner »

More of the cocky side

Arsenal hotshot Emmanuel Adebayor believes he would force Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o onto the bench if he was to move to Barcelona.

Adebayor has bagged 22 goals in in 31 appearances for the Gunners and some idle press speculation has linked him with a move to the Spanish giants.

The prolific frontman has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Spain but quipped:

"With me on the field," Adebayor told Tuttosport, "Henry and Eto'o would have to
be on the bench."

Adebayor talks a lot but I don't mind as long as he continues playing well.

Fcuk it I'll say it and risk a lashing - if barca want ade they can have him......if they send eto the other way. Adebayor is not in the same class as the cameroon frontman and he must be "taking something" if he thinks he is. Why can this man not just let his goals do the talking :?: :?:

I dont believe Ade would say something stupid like that. The press are always misqouting players and adding their own interpetation

Who cares as long as he keeps banging in the goals?
