anti-wenger protest at fulham?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A protest has started already so fucking join it, whatever your views on wenger if you lot start on him you will be a laughing stock. You worshiped him for years and now your on his case. GO for the board through ticket pricing unfair paying system Gestapo stewards shit atmosphere and lack of investments and to bring back some of our traditions on and off the pitch and trust me wenger will either change or leave.

you attack him and you will get all the mongs and the board defending him so go for the top, stop buying the merchandise and arrive with a black scarf or with no colours and sing the songs that have recently been sung.

Good Shout Goon!

Lots will depend on the summer transfer window. If we don’t sign any QUALITY players and sell the good players we have ( cesc , nasri, aa23) then the next protest has to headline the lack of spending so the board see we are not fucking about.

First game of season is in August if no major investment has been made then first game of the season we should protest again. Force something to happen by September.

Its good that we are sticking to the principles of the BSM but some things can never change such as dropping the prices again or allowing us to stand and have that bond with the team again. Its not just an Arsenal thing it’s a football thing, it’s the way its gone.

I am sick of the way things have gone but I for one would be happier if investment was made in the team and week in week out I was watching a brave team give there all for the shirt.

On a corporate level the club wont want a repeat performance of that march, especially if its bigger. If they don’t sign anyone we should protest every game until the transfer deadline.

Some of the people on here who try to defend Wenger leave me stunned....truly. Their failure,to see Wenger's failure, to address the same issues year after year at Arsenal are astounding. The ONLY way for Arsenal to move forwards significantly is to get rid of Wenger. Throwing money at a team with no tactics and no motivation from their leader is pointless.

I read one comment somewhere online that apparently the reason why we didn't win the league this year was purely and simply down to bad refereeing decisions?

80sGoon is Bang On :D

Fans going to Fulham should keep protesting about the rise in Season Tickets and Lack of Investment in the Team. Wenger must make changes or he will be forced out next season :o

Read this, its enough to make you want to protest. :banghead:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... world.html

Defiant Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger maintains the Gunners already have 'enough quality to beat anyone in the world' and a 'strong base' from which to build a sustained challenge for honours next season.

The Gunners head to Fulham tomorrow having seen a run of just two wins from the last 10 Barclays Premier League games kill off any title hopes, allowing FA Cup winners Manchester City to climb back into third, a place which guarantees automatic qualification for the Champions League.

Wenger expects to be busy in the summer, both with players out as well as in, when he aims to add the experience he feels the squad needs after collapsing on all fronts in the wake of their shock Carling Cup final at Wembley to Birmingham.

However, the Arsenal manager insists the horizon is not all doom and gloom despite a sixth campaign without a trophy.

'We do not play for relegation. We have a good team, the best away team. We are top of the "top four" league,' Wenger said.

'The loss of the Carling Cup had a huge impact on the team and we did not handle it well.

'We have enough quality to beat anyone in the world, even with the current squad. You have a Champions League final and only one team has beaten both of them - Arsenal.

'It is not catastrophic and do not think we can go to Coventry and find the player who saves Arsenal Football Club.

'We need to add, of course, and we will do, but we have a strong base.'

Blackburn England Under-21 central defender Phil Jones is a target, along with Ewood Park team-mate Christopher Samba, as Wenger aims to shore up the backline.

The Gunners meanwhile are also reported to be closing in on young Argentinian midfielder Ricky Alvarez from Velez Salsfields, who already has Italian citizenship.

The Arsenal manager, though, is also set to jettison some of his under-performing squad players. Brazilian Denilson has made it clear his future lies elsewhere, while goalkeeper Manuel Almunia, Emmanuel Eboue, Carlos Vela and even Russian Andrey Arshavin could also be allowed to leave.
Whoever Wenger brings in, however, the deal will not bust the bank.

'I always try to get value for money, that is the job of a football manager,' the Gunners boss said.

'In England, it is a bit more difficult because player inflation is higher than everywhere else.

'When you only have a few players at many clubs, the price is too high.'

With assistant manager Pat Rice set to stay on for at least next season, there are unlikely to be any major changes to Wenger's backroom staff. The Arsenal manager, however, maintains he is 'open minded' to calls for a fresh voice in the dugout.

'I speak openly with them and ask for their opinions. After I make the decisions. That is the democracy we have here,' the French coach said.

'The problem when you don't win is to always raise the right questions. Those who win the games are those on the football pitch and not those who talk in the stands.
'I have enough experience to know what is important and what is less than important.

'It will be difficult to find a coach who teaches me how to manage a football team.'

He also said this:

"But when you see again the game we played against Aston Villa, it is unbelievable – some decisions are unexplainable to me in that game. For me, we won, 100 per cent. But we have to accept it, deal with it and come back even stronger"

The deluded fool is now re-writing the rules of football.

After the Fulham game where no doubt the vocal protestations will be heard and seen by Arsene and the board, he has got the 2-3 months to fix the obvious difficencies in the squad. (by and large the first 11 are decent)

Should the shortcomings not be addressed then the Emirates Cup presents a real opportunity for the fans to show their disdain by not turning up to our main sponsors blue ribbon event, which in all previous years has attracted near sell out crowds.

A low turnout coupled with further protest march (but not attending the game) and the same for the inevitable Champions League qualifier, may force someone at the club to finally sit up and take notice.

This club has taken for granted that there is a long waiting list for season tickets and memberships and treated it supporters with contempt, it may be that this is the season where those supporters return the compliment.

Not enough genuine Arsenal would consider going to the EC anyway to make it a suitable option for a protest. It'll be a sell out again, despite being 80% tourists & people who get to only one or two games a season. I've already heard from Liverpool & Man Utd fans who are going...
