But he was a legend who lived his life to the fullDB10GOONER wrote:What a cunt. He had previous for both too.![]()

The problem is with these guys is they never grew up and still acted like they were 18 year olds and as a consequnce had no cop on or respect for anyone except themselves and went around doing whatever they wanted despite the harm it did or could do to others.
Sorry Deise, but I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Now it's been revealed he was speeding, then I won't blame anyone for calling him what he is. Yet saying him and the others had no respect for anyone other than themselves and putting other people in danger etc. - I can't see how thats true.
Lets look at it deeper. They're professionals that were under supervision for all of their dangerous stunts, and they didn't do many or any at all from what I remember around the general public, the only people that were there were themselves, the crew and supervisors. They all know what they signed up for and were and are part of the Jackass programme/movies.
They brought alot of happiness and laughter into people's lives, you look at people their age now, they sit there in their flats depressed over stuff, which is understandable, yet the Jackass cast never let anything get them down and made a joke out of everything. Should they have just "grown up" and become miserable every day of their lives? Yes Ryan shouldn't have been drink driving and he only has himself to blame, and stuff like that isn't acceptable, but I think alot of middle-aged men seem to have a negative view of Jackass.

Sutch when he was driving at 140mph while drunk was when he was putting other people lives at risk. No regard for anyone but himself.Sutch wrote:Sorry Deise, but I'm going to have to disagree with you there. Yes mate, that's true, but I meant in the whole Jackass on camera stuff. His death wasn't Jackass related, so it reflects bad onto the programme/films. I can't recall one stunt where they put the public at risk, the dangerous stunts weren't performed around the public. The things they did do in public were either not dangerous to pedestrians and bystanders or not dangerous to anyone at all, e.g the ones where Johnny Knoxville dresses up as an old man.

i agree and i'm a big fan of dunn and jackass as well.Sutch wrote:Yes mate, that's true, but I meant in the whole Jackass on camera stuff. however, i can't accept the drunk driving and speeding. put it this way: if he crashed his car on my family's car instead of a tree, how happy with his actions would i be??? imagine losing the ones you love because of a drunk asshole on his fancy porsche.
i'm all for stunts, jokes and whatever, but putting other people's lives at risk is a very cuntish thing to do. he let me down big time acting like a teenager like that.
i do agree that 'jackass' has nothing to do with it though, it's a humour show or movie or whatever.
Yeah I wasn't defending his drink driving and speeding, I was trying to defend the whole Jackass lifestyle that Deise criticsed. For me, that's a great way to live and enjoy life, what Ryan Dunn did was obviously the actions of an asshole, but that's the first time anything like that has happened from any of them I think? Other than Steve-O's drug problems, which he's now sorted out with the help of the rest, I think they all do a pretty good job at living in that immature yet lovable way without putting others in danger. Until Ryan Dunn of course.

I think you can make an arguement that it is related to the show.brazilianGOONER wrote:i agree and i'm a big fan of dunn and jackass as well.Sutch wrote:Yes mate, that's true, but I meant in the whole Jackass on camera stuff. In essence, the "cloak of invincibility" that they built up around themselves by doing these stunts (albeit not putting the public in danger) might have lead to this feeling being carried over, and this car crash was the result of that "invincibility". Especially as unlike a movie, the whole basis of the programme is risky stunts.

Add to that his previous conviction of DUI and that blows your argument out of the water. The show in itself is brilliant and im a fan but in their day to day lives they are still stuck in their teens. You would think that after being caught for drink driving the first time or the numerous other offences that he would have learnt his lesson like a grown man and curb his reckless behaviour but he didnt and it sadly cost him him life in the end.The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Dunn had received at least 23 driving citations, including 10 for speeding and careless driving

Oh well, thats that then, he is an utter *word censored*. To drive when pissed is irresponsible as fuck, to drive at well over the speed limit when pissed is absolutely indefensible. Stupid, stupid fucking *word censored*. If his passenger knew that he had been drinking (which he must have done) then I have only marginally more sympathy for him since he allowed Dunn to drive and seemingly allowed him to speed. Thank god it was just those two that died and not some innocent- could have been a mother with a young baby or anything. To put people's lives at risk like that is a *word censored* trick and, tbh, if that is how he regularly drove (which by the sounds of his previous driving offences it is) I'm actually quite glad that the stupid *word censored* killed himself before he had the chance to devestate the lives of any innocent parties due to his reckless and fucking stupid driving. "RIP legend" my fucking arsehole, just another stupid piece of shit who is, thankfully, no longer a danger to the rest of us, natural selection at its finest. Not bothered if this sounds harsh, I know someone who lost a relative due to a pissed up speeding driver so I have fuck all respect for Dunn and couldnt give a fuck that he's dead, *word censored* that he is
