i hope we don't sell Theo because i really like him and Wenger has fucked him about too much
i think what Theo showed in the Carling Cup final a few years ago against Chelsea shows what he can do, if given the chance to play up front
I don't think there's a chance of Arshavin leaving. Wenger said a couple of months ago that he highly rates Arshavin and despite some bad performances he sees Arshavin as having a role in the club.QuartzGooner wrote:Cannot see why it would raise doubts over Walcott.
With Bendtner and Arshavin probably leaving, and Vela likely to go out on loan, a player like Walcott could be used in either wide midfield position or up front.
Nasri's future is in doubt too.
We need a squad with more first team ready players.

how does it not? the man scores over a goal per game! i disagree, i think RvP is perfect for any position as a striker, be it with a partner ahead of him, behind him (steady, kingjayson!) or even on his own. he will score goals anyhow.BT wrote: Its clear Robin would thrive better behind another man and having him as the main man doesnt work.
our problems are on the wings and on the defence (including holding midfielder) imo.

Just because a player doesn't currently play for Real Madrid doesn't mean they're not worth a look at. Look at Javier Pastore, Edinson Cavani, or even Diego Milito a few years ago.TeeCee wrote:Yeah, European powerhouses - Palermo and Malaga. Fuck me, how far have we fallen??
I think Arsenal could use an Argentine, they're hardworking passionate footballers.
Not disputing Robin's goal return but I don't think having him as target man benefits the team as a whole. Often he falls back into that hole, gets the ball and there's no one to run onto his pass. Despite his amazing record in the second half of season, our goals as a whole dried up. Despite his touch, his vision and heart, he plays naturally with his back to goal, slows down play and it's not effective in a counter attacking move with him in that position. I think arsenal were pondering and slower than ever this season just gone.brazilianGOONER wrote:how does it not? the man scores over a goal per game! i disagree, i think RvP is perfect for any position as a striker, be it with a partner ahead of him, behind him (steady, kingjayson!) or even on his own. he will score goals anyhow.BT wrote: Its clear Robin would thrive better behind another man and having him as the main man doesnt work.
