As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I know we have pride. We have an honest history and club. We aren't here to buy a championship (like man city and chelsea). But at the end of the day we have to look at what we are trying to do...and its going to cost us more than we probably want. We need nasri, because with the reports of cesc gone and players like hazard not leaving their clubs...we will not be able to replace him to the fullest. At some point we need to wake up and pay the wages he wants if we want him. If not as a club we are giving away our best players for money...but for what? Why sell top players and buy lower players? We aren't trying to rebuild for the future anymore...this is about the now. If we care about the now we need to buck up otherwise we are going to lose out best players to everyone around us and get beat by them.
If we don't wake up and keep the talent and add to it...we will not finish well.

have you been banned from the official one radders
I could understand United, definitely. Great team, many trophies, one of the best managers of all time. But Citeh? If he does go over to Eastlands it will be a move of pure greed, not one of football ambition (and don't even get me started with "oh but they're in the CL now!").
Let's also remember one thing. Nasri was a good player we plucked out of France for something like 9-12m. He has been a decent and consistent player but far off world-class, with the exception of 6 exciting months last season. Now he is trying to justify doubling his value and his wage. Has he improved 200% since he came from Ligue 1? I don't think so.
If City want to offer these extortionate, frankly ridiculous wages to even just "good" players, let them. They're in the CL now but two seasons have shown that their money-pumping mentality is only enough for a Europa spot and an FA Cup against Stoke. Arsenal can find better players for 20m than Nasri, I'd bet.
At least the AKB's can't claim that if Wenger goes all the best players will leave! They are all leaving Because of his apathy and neglect!
I don't blame Nas one little bit, why should he be loyal to a club that shows zero ambition? We are now seeing the fruits of Wenger's neglect.
Van Persies and Walcotts contracts are up in two years, Wenger had better be talking to them now about their contracts or we all know what will happen next!
Management? It appears Gazidis and Wenger do not have a clue.
Nasri and Clichy are as guilty as most for not stepping up when we've needed them so I'm not sad to see them go, they have been part of a team with no bottle and no fight that often choked, the only players I would be sad to see go are Wilshere, van Persie and Vermaelen as they are the only players prepared to go the extra mile, Cesc will be a loss but in his head he's already gone, the rest are replaceable.
The real issue which will anger me will be if he doesn't replace them, in selling Nasri, Cesc, Clichy and potentialy Bendtner he's already done a sneaky of not spending a penny he ain't generated.

Seriously ?? Listen slate citeeh, their arab owners and their total disregard for financial prudence if you like but dont even bother with the "the players are only going there for the money" line cos we all know that is total bullshit. Like it or not citeeh have money and regardless of its source they are gonna use it to get the club up to where they want to go. They are showing huge ambition and players can also see that so why shouldnt they go there now they are in the champs league ? A few years ago people wanted to disregard their chavs and their new found "wealth" but they are still there competing for all the top prizes and citeeh will be the same so deal with that and I would suggest that any player signing for them is showing far more ambition than a player deciding to stay with our club
