Ministry of Funny Walks
When u see how he kicks a ball, and also look at his below average playing career, I just can't help but think that this fraud lucked out when he first arrived with the riches that he inherited. How can he judge any player considering that he doesn't know how to even kick a fucking a ball, talk about being in the right place at the right time!! He's a fraud of the highest order!!! :evil:
Cough Mourinho Cough

Great coaches don't have to be great players and when being objective about a player, it can sometimes be a hindrance to be an ex-player
Yes, I know that, but it begs the question, what does the present day Wenger bring to the table? When he first came he was a revoluntionary in his fitness vision, which is now mirrored and bettered at most clubs now, and frankly our present backroom staff seem terrible in their handling of injured players, he never does tactics and now player loyalty seems to be waining apart from the shit players he employs on long mega bucks contracts. The sooner he departs the better it will be for our great club imo.

If true I wonder if the penny has finally dropped or if he's deluded enough in thinking that keeping him for a year will benefit the team????

As much as I hate Nasri and Cesc for the way they are behaving part of me is enjoying Wenger getting his reality check.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed he is closing in on a "super quality" signing but would not be drawn on potential targets.

"We want to add not quality, but super quality. We hope to give you some good news soon. Next week, something might happen."

Why have i got this feeling "super quality" is called super freebie Joey Barton!? :shock:

Arenal have agreed a £900k deal to sign Joel Campbell according to various news sources.

I'm quite happy about this one. I watched him in the Copa America and he is fearless, very fast and tricky, and has a great shot on him.

Whether we get a work permit is another matter.

Was thinking would this super quality player be able to play in cl play off v Udinese and found this info on uefa.com.

18.13 List A has to be submitted by the following fixed deadlines:
a) 20 June 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the first qualifying round;
b) 7 July 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the second qualifying round;
c) 21 July 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the third qualifying round;
d) 8 August 2011 (24.00 CET) for all matches in the play-offs;
e) 1 September 2011 (24.00 CET) for all further matches from the first
match in the group stage up to and including the final.
18.14 For the three qualifying rounds and the play-offs, a club may register a
maximum of one new eligible player on List A after the above-mentioned
deadlines, provided the quota of locally trained players is respected. Such
registration must be completed by 24.00 CET on the day before the relevant
first-leg match and the club’s association must confirm in writing that the new
player is eligible to play at domestic level at this time.

So lets hope this super quality player can save our season as i have major doubts in us beating Udinese :oops:

''Super Quality'' :shock:

I hope for his sake there is someone outstanding about to sign because if this turns out to be a run of the mill signing he'll be the biggest laughing stock in football, if he isn't already, and this phrase will be rolled out to take the piss out of him every time he signs a player or every time the unfortunate new player plays...

The only player i can think of who seems to be in play at the moment who i would say fits in to the term ''super quality'' is Sneijder and although outside of Wenger world he would be the obvious and ideal replacement for someone of Cesc's calibre, i would be utterly f*cking shocked if Wenger had ever gave him a second thought...
He would cost less than we get for Cesc and would be on no more money than Cesc, so in reality there is no reason we shouldn't be in the market for him, other than the manager looking to make money out of his transfer dealings to the detriment of the team of course....

My guess is he's talking about Mata, who i would say was no more than a good signing, certainly not ''super quality'' especially in relation to who he appears to be a replacement for (Cesc)...If it does turn out to be Mata wo betide him if he doesn't set the place a light from day one with the ''super quality'' that Wenger has promised us... :roll:

I'm sorry i'm not sure what your getting at...Are you suggesting that Sneijder isn't top quality :?
As far as attacking creative central midfielders go Sneijder must surely be in the top half dozen in the world at the moment... i would say that would qualify him as ''super quality'' especially considering Wenger is probably talking about Mata being ''super quality'' and he has yet to and likely will never get anywhere near the level of Sneijder....

Really disappointed in the lack of any real news of signings, let
Alone actual signings. It so bad that I'm spending this season
Watching matches on streams....but on the off chance of getting a
Ticket, am going to boo gervinho simply for not being a big
Enough signing.

Clearly this will be none other than Nicklas Bendtner. Having failed to find anyone to move to he'll agree to stay, which will be considered "like a new signing" as we retain one of the worlds premier strikers. The day after he'll unveil Emmanuel Eboue & Manuel Almunia as "like new signings" to conclude our inbound transfer business.

Werder Bremen announced transfer negotiations willingness over Per Mertesacker. In today seasons opener he looked sharp, and much better than Kos or Squid!
