Szczesny - Perhaps the new Seaman

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Oh Wojciech Szczesny I cant pronounce your name
But Wojciech Szczesny I'll sing it all the same
Cos Wojciech Szczesny you make Mad Jens look almost sane
And you hate the c**ts from the lane
Oh Wojciech Szczesny...

Man has looked more assured, more level headed and more commanding. Give him some better defenders alongside TV5 and Sagna and we would concede far less. Thank god the other excuses for keepers got injured so he could prove himself, otherwise you know he would have left by now.

He's made a great start to the season. It's nice to see confidence in a keeper, Had a feeling he was going to save that pen.

Weldone Lad, keep it up.

someone to rely on? obviously not leave everything for him (if wenger decides to splash out on defence) but i am slightly more reasured by his presence and feel more confident about 1-on-1 situations. Lets just pray he doesnt get injured  :bowing21:

So one (admittedly superb) save against Udinese and all of a sudden the kid is Seaman. Classic Arsenal delusion then. Shame you have a short memory, or else you'd have remembered his disgusting cock-ups in the Carling Cup final - which cost Arsenal both goals.
Promising keeper but he's proved nothing yet.

All i'm saying is that he became promising in the last three games he's played and now shown some form of proof in the game against Udinese away by making the penalty save. Ok he has only had a few games and you could argue he's on a lucky streak or a good run but he's been quite consistant. I agree its to early for everyone to think he's a world class no1 and he's amazing but just pointing out how he's young and has shown he has some good talent, and yes he made mistakes in the ccf 2011 but what i'm trying to say is how he has improved so much.

All keepers cock up from time to time, and that in itself wasn't entirely his fault....he has been pretty faultless since he came in the team, the Udinese home game he was the man of the match and was argubly tonight also.
