Sport5 in Israel reporting Yossi signed a 1 year deal with Arsenal.

What in sweet fuck, that better not be true.

After a day like yesterday when everything looked positive today has turned into a real anti-climax (no jokes please cos I aint in the mood right now  ) We are now almost scraping the bottom of the barrel with signings like yossi and it is all well and good suggesting that he will be a useful squad player but the fact is that our first 11 is still nowhere near good enough
As you know I think Benayoun would be a good signing for the squad but it looks to me that in a summer where both Cesc and Nasri have left, the only significant signings we make are Gervinho and Mertesacker.

If that is the case, something is very rotten at the club.

Sport5 in Israel reporting Benayoun has joined AFC on a 1 year loan deal :?

I'm not completely against Benayoun don't get me wrong, but as Augie said, he'd be a squad player NOT as some kind of Cesc/Nasri creative replacement for the first XI.

I feel sorry for Benayoun if he signs.

But if its a one year loan deal, then its the most ridiculous panic buy in this clubs history.

Arteta will be a good signing, forget Cesc and Nasri, they are gone, forget big signings, no one wants to come, look at who is here, Diaby is hopeless and Ramsey has been disappointing and nowhere near ready to step up, Jack and Arteta would give us creativity and he's got a bit of bite too like Jack.

The defence has improved from last years Sagna Djourou Koscienly and Clichy, up front hasn't changed as Nasri went missing a lot and Gervinho looks promising, a commited Arteta will bring more to the table then a sulky Cesc.

We might not have big stars but we now look a fully commited team not just a support cast for Cesc, Nasri don't come into it, he never ran the show.

Wenger hasnt done anywhere near enough, we still need another decent CB, would like to see Jagielka or Samba come in, and also a midfielder, not sure that Arteta is the answer but anyway at the moment that doesnt look like happening, we are still fucked and Wenger always the tight *word censored* trying to do things on the cheap, the sooner the *word censored* leaves the better

I am 99% against signing yossi (the 1% is the diaby factor   ) and I have to admit that I would rather sign nobody at this stage than sign him  I know I will get slated for saying this but I would rather have vela, lansbury or denilson in the squad than yossi

Benayoun, seriously Arsene? The fact that chelsea seem to be willing to loan him out to us says it all :banghead:

Our saviour is yossi benayoun :banghead: I would love arteta at arsenal, even though he isn't a world class player he is better than anyone we have at the moment from a creative sense and that is what we are crying out for really.

One problem re Arteta is terms - but main issue is that Wenger doesn't seem at all sure what he wants. Messy
:coffeespit:

There's a fucking surprise.
