Obviously credit for the goal and the general involvement in the game, but he's had two opportunities to make crucial assists, and floundered on both occasions. He's missed two very good goal-scoring chances too.
don't agree. our main threat has been Gervinho combining with Sagna. he's doing OK, its only his second league game FFS

RVP will be gone in the summer, our best player by a mile at the club and is just stuck up front with no decent service and makes runs for nowt

he must look back down the pitch and think where did it all go wrong

I would call such a summary, average at worst rather than poor. Unless you *aren't* giving credit for the goal and general involvement.

You don't agree that he fucked up two assists? Or that he should've done better with his attempts?

Our best player by a mile? Riiight.

Is the injury-prone underachiever going to be the new Fabregas "bigger than the club"?

Defenders know what they need to do, its not like they need telling every time the ball goes into the box, in every game they play.

Good performance 1st half, glad for the new signings to get their first goals. Gervinho should have played in Van Persie at the end though, could have got a 3rd.
defenders need to know if they should leave it or not. everytime the ball goes into the box they need to know if thw keeper is coming for it and they should leave it or 'away' and they should get rid.
its good communication.
