MATCH THREAD V MILANO

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

went mental tonight, for some reason this reminds me of somethind i heard form my dad, on THAT night in 1989 when i was only a baby my dad hit the floor on his knees with me in his arms, i started crying and my mum was VERY pissed off, i was ok therefore he didn't really give a shit. I don't blame him, i would have done the same in his position, and if i have kids probably will.

I must admit i had my doubts tonight, i was being negative cos i can get very pessimistic n was scared of disappointment not cos i fort we were shit but cos i fort that we play well and create so many chances but atm cant seem to finish off teams...at halftime i fort shit its guna happen again, we wil b punished for not putting the ball in the net BUT im so glad i was wrong. the best team won, tonights performance has reminded all the critics why we are top...i felt that the villa result at the weekend installed belief in the team and helped us tonight. cos we managed to remain top!!!

If anyone manages to get photos of the team hugging wenger wud defo appreciate u posting it, im hoping arsenal.com put it up for wallpaper :)

COME ON GUNNERS!

UFG, I did! I scared the shit out of my two boys after Cescy hit the first, but when Addey steered home Theo's cross I took my 6 year old and bench pressed him for about 10 seconds, he loved it still!

Fucking internet went down last night and I wasnt able to come on here and celebrate with the rest of you. That was the best team performance that I have seen in a long long time and while 1 or 2 may not have excelled as a unit they were unbelieveable. Some will try to belittle that result by banging on about an old milan team but that is bollox and they didnt look so old last season when they were destroying manure, scousers etc and it is only 1 year ago.

I was worried about the game last night myself - not so much about getting knocked out because the league is still my priority, but how it might have affected us mentally if we lost but I neednt have worried. Cesc & flamini were outstanding even though you dont feel right singling out 2 players from the team. The away support was as ever was outstanding and to echo what rebel said we have to give credit to the milan fans who applauded our team off the pitch cos it is something that you just do not see in top level football that often.

Its funny reading through the 13 pages of this thread the day after the game when all my tension is gone but everybody elses is so apparent  I hope we get another european team in the next round but I think we'll get manure  Bring on wigan now
