MOTD 2 - ARSENAL 125TH SPECIAL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

i obviously didn't see the player at his time (only a few matches i downloaded in recent years) but i remember that day when leeds beat us and it really really made me dispise the c**t.

fuck him and his i don't know how many appearances
I think your less of a supporter than most on here mate...other than DB10

oh if db10gooner is less (even slightly) than i am, then it's cool mate 8)

you see, there's nothing wrong about being a midget. what i don't want is to be THE midget
I'm sorry mate but you are THE midget on here. My cock is bigger than you. And has less cheese on it.

Anyhoo - onto Mr O'Leary. A boyhood hero of mine. Him, Stapo and Chippy all being Oirish and all signing for The Arsenal was a dream come true for me.

Then Stapo fucked off to Manure and re-emerged in the late 90's as a "Man Utd man" (or "Bandwagon Jumper" as I'd call it) so I chalked him down as a bit of a prick.

I met Chippy at my footy club's trophy night years ago and he was a grumpy unsocial rude ignorant little bastard. I was devestated that night.

And then O'Leary made a prize prick out of himself by running around Elland Road like he had just WON the fucking PL rather than stopping his ex-club (the one that made him rich) from winning it and indeed handing the trophy effectively to his then current club's most hated enemy.

I'll never forgive O'Leary for the way he celebrated that night. No problem with him managing the club that beat us, that's football. But running around screaming and punching the air celebrating fucking over your one and only club (as a player), the club you owe everything to? That's not football. That's being a cheap classless cúnt.

o leary is an arsenal legend. ok he became a bit of a *word censored* when he left but he was managing another team and and he showed emotion for leeds at the time which is what any supporter would want for his team, what did people expect him to do :?
remember what a class defender he was and how he stayed when the likes of stapleton, anderson and even brady all fucked off for more money.

All due respect Rebs I can't agree with that... It wasn't just celebrating. He was overjoyed. It was a very public slap in the face for The Arsenal and all our fans. Watch the footage again, man. He's running around yipping like a schoolgirl after her first good fucking.

I agree as a player he was quality and club loyal for his whole career. But that night in Leeds he shat all over that.

so what. would you not be happy if we had signed someone from say man u and he went ape shit celebrating when we beat them :?

have to agree to differ on him because in my eyes and as arsenals record apperance holder the man should be shown more respect even for the fact that he never fucked the club over like brady and stapleton.

It was mroe than celebrating, it was pure gloating. Giving it the big 'I AM' infront of the fans who held him in such high regards. Sure come on, clap the Leeds fans, and walk off.

Look at Sol when he won the league at WHL, left the pitch until the stands cleared. Even though they victimised him and went so far, the man still ahd the respect for a club he played for to not gloat in front of them. And he had just WON THE LEAGUE!

I remember him having a run-in with Bobby Pires as well once when we played Leeds away, shouted expletives at him because he complained about a challenge if I recall correctly. I don't understand why he suddenly hated us. Doesn't the *word censored* realize he holds the record number of appearances for us?
