Goetze saga

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

One of the Dortmund lads can correct me, but isn't it more likely you'd look to cash in on Grosskreutz or Barrios if you were to let someone go to fund the Reus deal. Well if you wanted the funds for it now anyways, as of course the Summer is another matter.

As it looks now, its likely that we cash in on a couple of players.

Kuba (Blaszczykowski) is likely to leave, because he isn't getting enough time on the pitch and he denies to renew his contract.

Rumors are that Kagawa too don't want to renew his contract, which doesn't make much sense, because he is not earning that much atm, even if he could. I guess he sees Dortmund as his spring board to the "big" leagues. If he is leaving, I think its likely to be to the PL. I would of course love him to stay...

Barrios is quite unsatisfied about his situation atm. Lewandowksi is by quite a long way the first striker. Barrios has been linked with a move elsewhere in the media.

I think these are the three big players of our squad, which are most likely to leave next summer.

Michael Zorc, our manager (manager in the BL ≠ manager in the PL), has confirmed yesterday that there is an agreement with Götze that he will continue to play for Dortmund next season.
I don't think this is the whole truth though. If we somehow manage to play a rubbish second half of the season and e.g. don't qualify for the UCL, then I'm pretty sure things could change.
Or of course if we get an offer we can't refuse. ;-)

And Arsenal are just the club to make such an offer - how does €10m over 3 years sound, and we'll ask the boy to take a pay cut too. We might loan you one of our long term contract, no-hopers for a year too :D

Alright, sounds perfect.
€10m for the wonderboy and we'll get Chamakh on loan!

You call Arsene, I'll get in touch with Klopp and Zorc.

Lets do this!

I will also offer to drive Chamakh directly to Dortmund at my own expense if Arsene agrees, and buy him a leaving present from all of us. We could also throw in 'super quality' Park for you, and Carlos Vela (complete with rollneck sweater and gloves if you insist).

We also have a very interesting range of reserve goalkeepers for you to consider. They have great appeal with younger supporters, as it isn't very often they get to see a circus act anymore, so perhaps the junior Dortmund fans would like to see Fabianski too. We'll even provide the full clown's outfit complete with squirty flower, floppy feet and a bucket of confetti

With Fabianski on goal and Vela, Park and Chamakh upfront we would've won 6 out of 6 in the UCL...

I don't get how Klopp and Zorc didn't see this before. Its so obvious...

So just drive these four lads over and you can take Götzinho back home for free!
