Goetze saga

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You probably need a thick Geordie accent to do this but

Day Thirteen in the Arsenal Big Brother House. Mario is nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, Sammy is sitting down scratching his head and has asked to come to the diary room

BB: "Sammy, what's on your mind?"

Sammy: "Hello Big Brother. Can you tell me where Mario has gone?"

BB: "Big Brother can't reveal that information Sammy. Rest assured everything is going to be fine"

Good morning,
To be honest...I'm sleeping not very well these days  since this entire thing is going on. It all does not makes sense to me if Mario would be transferred now. Why did he not move after the last game? Why would he go to the training camp, play training games and then start the back season? The only thing I can think of that there is a pre contract already signed and after the home game at 28.1.2012 the move would be announced, but that would be a major blow to the entire organization and the German title campaign. All the officials are saying he will stay and maybe also he will extend his contract, yepp..I know I've heard these words before from other players like you all did during your fan history  ...but we trust the officials (coach, manager, president, etc.) due to their proven track records.

I'm just counting the days towards the first of February  ...
Never mind, wish you all a good weekend and a good game on Saturday!
Black + Yellow wishes,
Thomas

 Tomas stop worrying about Goetze and have a good nights sleep  One thing i can assure you of Goetze will not be joining Arsenal we have a mad proffesor manager that thinks you can win trophies by spending nothing therefore Goetze will not be joining Arsenal

on the bad side he might be signing for Bayern, Inter, Madrid or united though :worried:

 take it easy mate

Don't worry Tomas, we will take good care of him

But seriously I have my doubts. It would simply be too good of a move for Arsenal under what I will call Neo-Wenger (2006-beyond).

The German champions secured the signature of Marco Reus despite interest from Bayern Munich, and Klopp feels that signing the Borussia Moenchengladbach star could convince other players such as Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels to stay at Signal Iduna Park for the long haul.

Taken from FourFourTwo very good Australian Football magazin and web side:

Tomas, how do you rate our chances of signing Kagawa? I reckon he's more likely to come than Goetze.

Sam, I've given it plenty mate and will take my punishment like a man. If he signs for Arsenal now, or in the Summer (yep I'll even give you a Get Out Of Jail Free card :D ), you can pile into me first......and we'll meet up at a match and the beers will be on me (unless its a CL game and then the beers are on Red Member in his exclusive Emirates bar :D )

Good Day,
Borussia is playing right now in Düsseldorf the so called 'Winter Cup' a training competition. Götze is in the squad and playing. You can watch it free via a live stream if you fanncy some German football

http://live.meinbvb.de/

@1989, regarding your question...Yepp...I think Shinji would like to play at some moment in the English PL. He has a contract until 2013 but currently there are no talks about a new one. Not sure what his plans are...he developed very well last season.

But we also have a French player and some African Guys in the squad if your Manager maybe wants to take a look in the shopping room and spent some money on real good quality  !

Best wishes for your Game today!
Cheers,
Thomas

well our brilliant manager has basically indicated we won't be getting anyone this transfer window as he seems to think players you get in January arent committed to the cause.....as if any of our mercenaries really are anyways
