Bendtner; The Leg-end

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I wish this thread would get locked down. 45 pages about this useless *word censored* is more than enough

3 goals and it really depnds on how you define assists but probably about 7, for us thats pretty good tbh, hes a million miles off Quinn and Phillips, he's a fuck load better than Stead and Laslandes who we had in the PL. Good footballer, caused them trouble today and we nearly sneaked a point. How would you compare him to Chamakh (who we were linked with and I'm delighted we didnt sign) and Park (who?)
I am not a Bendtner fan but I would rather have him at Arsenal than Chamack or Park tbh, but 3 goals in 20(or 21) games isn't for me the stats of a good(or even an average) striker.
But we could argue that Torres and Carrolls stats are worse than that(I think  -to lazy to google it  )

I'm being honest, none of them are good enough for Arsenal, but fucking hell, Bendy in the same boat as fucking Chamakh and Park, cant have that like! Bendtner has a brain, Chamakh and Park are fucking useless footballers- as I say we were near to signing Chamakh before you got him, fucking delighted we didnt get him he's a fucking joke- doesnt lead a line, cant shoot, no touch, shit in the air, he's fucking awful, Parks no better. Put it this way, of the 3, Bendtner will have the better career, easily, bump this if I'm wrong!

Bendy is worse than the other two in my eyes, he's capable of so much but he won't achieve it! His attitude stinks, I'm do glad I dont have to sit there and pay good money to see him chew gum and play with his hair and generally amble around the pitch like a *word censored*!
I swear he misses alot of chances from just either not caring, or not being switched on rather than ability.

Nope, hes better than them, he just needs to be managed and people need to see through his put on "confidence" and realise that really he's emotionally fragile and needs a cuddle and a number 9 who can score a lot of goals. He's millions of miles ahead of Chamakh and Park, without trying he's a better footballer than them 2

Oh I'd cuddle him, have you seen how ripped the boy is? I'm as straight as they come but fucking hell, what a beautiful man! Nah I see what you'r esaying, I just think he gets some unfair abuse- he isnt a goalscorer, I dont actually think hes all that confident, but hes a good footballer and he just needs good guidance from his manager. One of many whose career could either take off or beconme fuck all, but I'd have hoped Wenger would do more for the lad than he has- maybe O'Neill can rescue him but Chamakh and Park are beyond help. I think bendy will go to germany and become a decent striker, not immense, not bad, Wenger has ruined him imo

Sorry that you were robbed of a penalty today SAFC.
Bendy needs to be told, in no uncertain terms that his performances are not a reflection of his inflated wages.
Whilst banging his head against a brick wall he must be instructed to seek a new career. Preferably any career that does not include participation in sport.

He needs to take personal responsibility, stop acting like a *word censored* in general, and look at those with less ability who achieved more during their careers, because they took that responsibility for themselves.

He is not that worthy of being moddy coddled - no matter how much you want to, and then ultimately, have his babies.

I hope you fucking keep him. Give him a cuddle ? I wanted to nut the bastard when he had his one moment in time (cue Whitney) to be a hero in the Nou Camp and produced his usual elephant's touch in front of goal

The guy is a first rate bell-end and if you want to pay him 52k a week for 5 years be my guest. Your manager won't want him; he's more sense than that

Re: The "Nicklas Bendtner progress" thread

Post by safcftm »

Update (I know you've been desperate for one):

Some player who shouldn't have been on the same pitch as nicklas made him lose his sight briefly but thankfully it came back in time for him to spark the most mental celebration I've ever been involved in. Cool as ice as he dispatched the penalty at the sports direct arena to send us into raptures- I fell down 4 rows of seats and a big bloke jumped on me and kissed me on the lips but it was worth it. He ruined them all game and we only got in trouble when he came off, showed the heart of a lion and the composure of an, erm, I don't know, something very composed! That control and shot on the turn that krul just saved would have been one of the best north east derby goals of all time as well, pure class.

Love the lad, he's assured himself of a good welcome on any return to our ground. That goal was my payback for supporting him all this time!

A bit of hands up by ottawan- Bendtner, super bendtner, scores with one chance nicklas bendtner, one chance nicklas bendtner

That song is hilarious as he's proved time and again that he needs 10 chances to score for us. The fact he hasn't had a good season for you lot will see him finished in the premier league. A gullible foreign club might take a chance but he'll never be good enough for anything better than the championship IMHO. Now is he going on a bosman this summer or do we continue to urinate 52k/pw up the wall for another season or 2?
