More rumours over the weekend that Lassana Diarra will be leaving Real Madrid in the Summer with Tottenham his likely destination
OK, ignore the sources like InsideFutbol and the Sun - we know they talk bollocks - but look at the facts i.e. he has a year left on his deal, Madrid are not paying him anywhere near top wages and his first team status is uncertain.
This is exactly the sort of transfer that Redknapp would pull off in much the same way he did with Van der Vaart.
So we could sign him for £8m, he is well within our wage structure and a far far superior defensive midfielder than anything we've got in the squad. But will we sign him.....will we fuck?
And please spare me all that total bollocks about him refusing to play for us and being a bad influence. Wenger signed him from Chelsea where he wasn't playing, in the year leading up to a major tournament and then left him on the bench / in the reserves the whole time.....of course he was pissed off. Who wouldn't be?

I take it you're fully behind the contract renewal of our 'managerial genius' beyond 2014 then, Red ?
I predicted a year ago that we would be seeing Wenger as manager till at least 2017 but they wouldn't listen would they
well as Wenger is the club's greatest asset then yes the next contract negotiations will be very important.
hopefully he will be offered a long term deal. whether he accepts is another matter.

Thanks.....I'll add that one to the ever growing list !!
I can already see the leading quotes
"We can not get rid of Djourou"
"The pitch was too bumpy at Sunderland"
"hopefully Wenger will be offered a long term deal"
"Keeping Walcott is as important as keeping RvP"

like who?
To be fair they have signed some big name players: Benoit ASSOU-EKOTTO, Rafael VAN DER VAART, Giovani DOS SANTOS, Souleymane COULIBALY, Roman PALEYUCHENKO and of course the biggest of them all Tom HUDDLESTONE!!!
