Re: PODOLSKI
Well everyone wanted the club to do deals quickly to show Van Persie we want to keep him. There it is, we've signed Podolski!
As much as I'm fucked off with what happens at the Arsenal they've done something right. Hope we can keep our great Dutchman!
Up the Arsenal!

Augie you need to take a chill pill,be thankful we have signed someone half decent
Did you see the quote from wenger after the stoke game ? It went something along the lines of "we realise that we are over dependent on rvp for goals but there is nothing we can do about that now" - no you cant do anything about it now you senile old fool but when the world and it's mother knew you needed to buy a striker last january you sat on your arse doing f**k all except borrow a 34yr old striker for 6 fcuking weeks![]()

On a serious note do you think this is a good signing IF he is joining to play with RVP as opposed to being RVPs REPLACEMENT.

Re: PODOLSKI
obviously Podolski (or Prince Poldi as apparently he is known) is a replacement for the camel.SteveO 35 wrote:But he is.....and therein lies the problem. Further dumbing down of the squad. Yep he's good, but is he as good as RvP? Arteta is good, is he as good as Cesc? Gervinho is.....err fucking awful....is he as good as Nasri (despite the hate)?Deise Gooner wrote:Great deal as long as he isnt the replacement for RVP
Back to basics when RvP leaves. Podolski, Maryanne and SQP doesn't sound too clever - one unproven in this country and two fucking no-hopers
the fact that AW will put on almost anyone else but that useless moroccan, although not sure what happend on Saturday

as long as we finish 3rd then I am sure RVP will stay - where else would he go? the most obvious alternative is Barcelona and they are in turmoil. We will then have a King RVP and Prince Poldi up front with 2 young attendants supplying them with the ball - Walcott and the Ox. Can't wait for next season!

It's now almost two hours since Cologne announced that Podolski is joining Arsenal , but there is no announcement of an injury to Podolski on Arsenal .com.

Yes I do and I remember suggesting him as a potential signing a couple of years ago when he was leaving bayern

He is fast, and we dont have enough pace in the team, plus his scoring record at both club and international level is outstanding. He is a billion miles better than the forehead and walnut so I would be well happy if this signing led to the departure of one or both of these c**ts although I would still like to see us revert to 4-4-2 with podolski up top alongside rvp

Re: PODOLSKI
A top class international player in the prime of his career!! Javi Martinez at DM and a back-up RB and I might start getting optimistic.
Re: PODOLSKI
Well I am very pleasantly surprised that we have signed a top class international footballer before the window has even opened - credit where it is due, and seemingly at a decent price too.
Of course, we now face the RvP "will he, won't he" circus that we've become accustomed to each summer with Pv4, TH14, Cesc etc.
All the club can do to persuade RvP now is to go and spend the remaining available cash on some decent quality. M'Vila would be a start, an nventive midfielder a must, and a decent back-up keeper wouldn't be too much to ask would it?

To get rid of Song would make me happy enough, if we get a player as good as Javi...GranadaJoe wrote:A top class international player in the prime of his career!! Javi Martinez at DM and a back-up RB and I might start getting optimistic.
Kagawa is not staying at Dortmund, and he'd be great( and kinda cheap) for us
